For over a decade, I have lived and breathed Bitcoin—not as an investment, not as a trade, but as a way of life. I watched the hard forks, the ego trippers, the cash grabs, the opportunists who tried to mold Bitcoin into something it was never meant to be. I watched people chase power, creating their own chains, their own systems, always believing they could do better—yet always falling into the same traps that led to the 2008 collapse in the first place. They never learned. Because they never let go of ego. Bitcoin was born, like Occupy Wall Street, from the ashes of a financial system built on corruption and manipulation. It was never meant to be a tool for the same forces that enslaved us in the first place. It was a revolution, a quiet, unstoppable revolution, built by those who were willing to risk everything to see a new world emerge. To truly live on a Bitcoin standard, to have all your savings in Bitcoin, to relinquish all external income, is to undergo ego death. You no longer think in fiat terms. You no longer chase short-term wins. You are forced to think in decades, in centuries. You see through the noise, the distractions, the shiny new coins and chains that promise easy gains but only lead back to the same system we were trying to escape. Integrity is everything. If you bend the knee to easy money, to shortcuts, to short-term glory over long-term truth, you were never really here for the revolution. Bitcoin requires no leaders, no idols, no egos. It only requires conviction. Hold the line. Stay the course. The system will fall. And when it does, only those who held firm will build what comes next.

We had a good thing, you stupid son of a bitch! We had the chance to slash the state, to build something real. And it was working! You could've stayed the course, wielded your chainsaw and made history. But no! You just had to shill a Solana rugpull. You and your pride and your ego!

There’s an old Chinese proverb that I love: “Those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the people doing it.”

TCP/IP is not an open source project. Bitcoin is not an open source project. They are protocols. Stop "developing".

The most brutal part of game theory is that it does not care about your intentions, your loyalty, your pain, or your moral self-image; it only asks what the players can do, what each move pays, and whether your goodness is being punished by the structure of the game.

The most underappreciated effect of AI tools is how brutally they’ve vindicated Bitcoin maximalists. For years the mean maxis warned that Turing-complete EVM-style chains were insecure by design. We were right. Those networks were peddled hard by greedy, short-sighted, and clueless teams who only saw the shiny “composability” and extra functionality. Nobody wanted to talk about what that complexity actually means when you’re dealing with digital bearer instruments that people trust with real money. The flaws were always there. AI just tilted the cost/reward equation: it made finding and weaponizing those bugs dirt cheap. Suddenly the attack surface that looked “manageable” exploded. In contrast, with Bitcoin, building is slower, and more demanding. But that friction forces you to ship secure applications by design. A feature, not a bug. When you’re trying to revolutionize money and finance, low time-preference and prudence are a necessity. Sound engineering and incremental trust-building deliver orders of magnitude more long-term value than any short-term gain. Just look at the last three months: - Drift Protocol: $285 M drained - KelpDAO: $292 M drained - StablR (a MiCA-regulated stablecoin 😆): ~$3 M extracted in a minting exploit April alone saw over $600 M lost across DeFi hacks. 2026 YTD already north of $1 billion. The experiment is over. Thanks for putting the money on the line and make our argument palatable. The decentralize world computer will seperate you from your money. Bitcoin will separate money from State.

TLDR; it’s not confiscating shit

Hi Greg, you refuse to talk on Twitter and I refuse to talk on Reddit (this is the more reasonable venue as most of what I post on Reddit just gets immediately deleted so screw you for even continuing to use it.) At present there are 0 UTXOs in existence that would be rendered unspendable by the activation of BIP-110. Not "almost zero". Literally zero. There are contrived conditions where you could have committed to something where a UTXO must be created in a specific way that cannot occur until blockheight X that results in someone creating it during the relevant time period that *would* render it unspendable temporarily. For that to be the case it must also have no key path available, *and* 1. Have > 128 leaves and thus too large a control block, and/or 2. Contain OP_(not)IF/OP_SUCCESS The chances of someone accidentally ending up in this situation is beyond laughable. They're somehow one of the most advanced users of Taproot and unaware of incoming rules being enforced by an implementation run by >20% of the network. Further still - if someone ends up unwittingly making such a UTXO then they simply won't be able to spend it until Sept 2027, unlike with other permanent soft forks where if you generate an unspendable UTXO, it becomes *permanently* unspendable. Amusing how no one cares if I generate a UTXO that CTV/CSFS/CAT etc would render unspendable were it to activate, where it would become so again, permanently rather than temporarily in some absurdly contrived scenario where the person "affected" intentionally self-impaled in an effort to frivolously obstruct as you have been doing for months. The trolling about confiscation is a result of the fact that we are no longer a serious space. Standards around confiscation, governance, processes, moderation, hiring, grants, PR approval, venues for discussion, forks etc are invoked for political reasons and selectively enforced as @hodlonaut and others have demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt.

Once you hit about a 20-point IQ gap, communication starts to completely break down. It's not that the lower IQ person is "stupid" (although that can often be the case) or the higher one is arrogant, it's that you're literally operating on different systems. A 20 point difference (roughly 1.3 standard deviations) means: Vocabulary and abstraction levels diverge sharply. What feels like crystal clear logic to one side sounds like vague, pretentious word salad to the other. Jokes land flat. Metaphors get taken literally. Complex cause and effect chains get simplified into "this good, that bad." Different time horizons and pattern recognition. One person thinks in months or years and sees systems, the other is locked into days or immediate rewards. Trying to explain second order effects feels like speaking another language. Also, processing speed and working memory gaps. The higher IQ person is already three steps ahead, getting impatient. The lower IQ person feels talked down to or overwhelmed. Both walk away frustrated. Both have wasted each others time.
