@waitbutwhy 2017 I was in Nashville with four of my friends who thought I was crazy trying to chase the eclipses. Due to weather I was unable to see in Nashville. Here we are in 2024 I’m sitting in Dallas! Got my experience and my shot!

Now we are seeing Indian flags being flown in Texas…. Despicable. No foreign flag should ever be flown on American soil.

@NevrEnoughX @Rivian @Rivian fucked up. They should have under cut the competition. It’s okay to raise the prices later but the best advertisement is to shit ton of people buying them using them and telling people about them

🚨🇺🇸 A Baltimore mother learned her son had robbed a local food stand. She went back to the same vendor, returned the stolen money, apologized directly, and enrolled her son in a treatment facility. Nobody asked her to. No cameras were waiting. She just decided that what her son did required a real response, not a quiet one. @Rightanglenews

@Fresh62610 @pixel_preet I'm just saying different great deals from Tesla. You cant get any full size truck for under $60k. I think If Elon expanded on maybe a smaller compact to mid size truck in the price point of the 3 or Y and maybe toy with a mini van type and he could hit a huge target audience.

Remember when the problem with EVs was the cost of the battery? Yeah. Not a problem anymore.

Our World in Data@OurWorldInData

✍️ New article: Battery costs have declined by 99% in the last three decades, making electrified transport a reality— Over 20 million electric cars were sold globally in 2025 — some for as little as $10,000. Even just two decades ago, that would have been impossible. The reason it's possible now? Batteries have gotten *much* cheaper. In 1991, lithium-ion battery cells cost around $9,200 per kilowatt-hour. By 2024, that had fallen to just $78 — a decline of more than 99%. You can see this in the chart. To put that in perspective: the battery cells in a standard electric car today cost around $5,000. In 1991, those same cells would have cost nearly $600,000. There was no single breakthrough behind this. Batteries follow a “learning curve”: as cumulative production grows, thousands of small improvements in chemistry, manufacturing, and supply chains drive prices down. Since 1998, every time global cumulative battery production doubled, the price dropped by roughly 19%. Early progress was driven by consumer electronics — phones and laptops — before the technology became viable for cars, buses, and larger energy storage. Energy density has also more than tripled since the 1990s, meaning batteries can now store far more energy for their volume. The half-a-million-dollar battery was never going to transform transport. The $5,000 battery is.

🚨 $120,000 MERCEDES JUST COLLAPSED TO $32,000 — A 73% WIPEOUT — NOW CHEAPER THAN A CAMRY A Mercedes EQS… once a six-figure flagship EV… is now going for around $32K with 60,000 miles. • $120,000 brand new • Just 3 years later… down 73% • Now cheaper than a base 2026 Toyota Camry This wasn’t some random car. This was Mercedes’ top-tier electric sedan. Luxury. Tech. Status. Now it’s getting undercut by entry-level vehicles. And this is where it gets uncomfortable: Anyone who bought this new didn’t just take a small hit… they got wiped. Tens of thousands gone… in a fraction of the time people expected. Is this the best deal in the market right now… or a complete trap?

@pixel_preet @brandenflasch $2K for a charger at home? Mine was $300 with no connection fee and no EV registration. There was a $1K delivery fee when I bought it, and FSD costs me $99/mo. I also drove 320 miles last weekend and it cost me <$5 to recharge it - delete your account, lol

Model 3 has a 80 kilowatt battery which gives 300 miles factoring in weather and 80 percent charge. A typical use of car my daily routine in a week use 300 miles So if I had to charge a model 3 fully it will use up 80 kilowatts times that by $0.24 cent kilowatt. the argument here is buying a tesla affordable. Does it cost less over time yes. But to an average American it is still an expensive car.

Sad you under how numbers are used but not how they work. Try using; a typical Tesla or a Bolt EV gets ~ 4 miles per kWh. X 10 that’s ~40 miles for 24¢ x 10 or $2.40. Also, you likely have options to charge for free at work, or to use off peak so your EV charging is at night for 4¢ so 40¢ for 40 miles. Also, gasoline cars have oil and transmission and fuel services add $1000’s in maintenance cost

@hoofhrtd1254 @rebel1996 @brandenflasch Pennsylvania per kilowatt charge is $0.13 Distribution and fee average to $0.24 cents per kilowatt. Average EV battery is 75 to 100 kilowatts. Do the math shit head.

@pixel_preet Thanks for the break down Elon Bot! How many people don't actually own a home, don't qualify for a $48k loan? Most people have cars that are already paid off and can't afford the added $700 a month expense(my insurance would tripple). But keep spewing crap colostomy bag.
