This is personal for me. I know how scary it can be to have a sick child in hospital. The endless wait for my daughter until she was home safe. And praying that her development would be unaffected. I've also spoken with other parents who have older children waiting for surgery. They're worried about them missing school and time with their mates. It's why we're delivering 4,000 more planned surgeries for kids, an additional 45,000 specialist appointments, and upgrading services to reduce wait times even further. Because all parents want is for their kids to get back to being kids.
