Resubmitted last year but still no plans to improve the very narrow Thames Path around the site and no dust or noise mitigation.

@HardwickRalph @willnorman @sabrodrigues61 @Royal_Greenwich @EnvAgencySE That's promising! I do hope they check out Sivyer waste along the Thames Path site on our side. They pile up rubble and dust way above the concrete walls and it's my understanding they want to expand. @EGRA_London

⁦Vanburgh hill - a fatal accident waiting to happen. Crossing is terrifying due to drivers coming around the blind bend at speed or using the wrong side of the road- like this guy who told me it was allowed because they are ⁦@Royal_Greenwich⁩ security. @DanLThorpe⁩

@Chris_C_Lloyd Well said Chris. Having lived in a rat-running area (Christchurch Way/Azof St/Bellot St) before and after it became an LTN in the 90's, the difference was amazing. Supported @EGRA_London calls for LTN's in Pelton and Walnut Tree Roads to stop rat-running because of that.

@RichardT135 @deptforddame @EGRA_London For years in the 90's both lifts were decommissioned as they were being rebuilt. Got very used to carrying a bike up and down the nearly 100 stairs at either end. That was then. Couldn't imagine trying to do it with a much heavier electric bike.

@deptforddame @EGRA_London On most recent trips, I’ve found one or other lift out of order and can’t carry my bike up those many stairs! Plus cycling is banned through both tunnels.

Hard to believe that in London, in 2021, we have no cycle route crossing the Thames east of Tower Bridge. Even worse, there are no funded proposals to construct one. It could be done. It just needs political leadership.

@RichardT135 Biggest issue is the crossing at Rodmere Street. Pedestrian light green for 5 seconds - no red light to stop cars still in the junction driving through as pedestrians try to cross.

This seems to be and last major task near Blackwall Lane junction. Looks like footpath being realigned before new bus stop installed. Fingers crossed, cycle lane will be finished and open by end November / early December.

Important update following enquiries made by @mtpennycook. Greenwich cycle lane (phase I) completion was delayed while awaiting delivery of materials. Latest completion date ‘early November’. Work expected to start on phase II later this month. 🙂 @EGRA_London @AndrewSeeds

One thing I think drivers don't get is that the inconvenience they're experiencing from school streets, LTNs and cycle lanes is miniscule in comparison to the inconvenience other road users have been asked to take for the benefit of drivers over the years.
