If the Prime Minister wants to do more to protect children then he needs to legislate for a social media ban. His current amendment will allow him to do nothing at all.

@siobhanworld Yes we are. Especially in the judiciary. It’s a fact that women are more likely to serve a custodial sentence for the same offence and get a longer sentence.

@DrGladimir @LauraTrottMP I can see both sides of the argument. I'd be edging towards restrictions for u16s if it was actually something that could be enforced. Just from the mental health aspects

@LauraTrottMP Rubbish. Parents can decide this, and there are tools to easily give parental control over children's access to apps.

@DuxVul @ZackPolanski There are 1m empty homes. If there were no foreigners in the first place there would be a housing crisis too because less council homes would have been built. Even countries with low immigration have a housing crisis i.e Slovakia, Hungary, Poland.

Treasury sources emphasised that several options were being looked at but that no decisions had been taken Officials have identified several barriers, including the fact that HM Revenue & Customs records the income of individuals, while an energy bailout would have to focus on households.
