🎙️ Thierry Henry on PSG vs Bayern:
“Rest in peace to anyone who missed this game. This is football at its absolute peak. Pure cinema. End to end, no breaks, no breathing space… you blink and you miss something.
You watch Nuno Mendes, who’s been locking up wingers all season, suddenly struggling with Michael Olise… that boy is special.
On the other side, Luis Diaz just doesn’t stop running… I don’t think Hakimi caught his breath once. Then Kvara… everything he touches looks dangerous.
Dembele playing free, doing whatever he wants… it’s ridiculous. And in the middle, Vitinha controlling everything like it’s his own playground.
This game had everything. Honestly… this should’ve been the Champions League final. Because right now, these are the most exciting teams in Europe.”

🚨 Roy Keane on PSG vs Bayern Munich:
“That's some game of football, even the side that lost enjoyed the game. It's the type of football matches prime Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Manchester United played those days. Unfortunately, non football fans will watch Arsenal tomorrow and conclude the sport is very boring.”

English

@callmijake @FabrizioRomano Just go out and enjoy your life if you don't want to watch.. really simple...

@GaryJamesWriter We are not in 98 anymore mate.. would never happen in this decade...

Not certain why Arsenal & Utd didn’t sell out the 1999 FAC replay at Villa Park but after the abuse being thrown City fans’ way (often by Arsenal fans) it can’t have been because of travel, timing of game, frequency of appearances at that stage or finance can it?
Simon Mullock@MullockSMedia
@PeteHall86 Even Villa Park didn’t sell out every year, Pete

@Lemonbriz The peak was until 2004.. since the ones like abramovich came it ended suddenly.. don't talk bollocks john

🚨🎙️ John Terry on Chelsea and Manchester United’s era of dominance
"Those battles against Manchester United between 2004 and 2011… mate, that was proper football. Walking out at Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford knowing it wasn’t just a game — it was for the title, for everything. Sir Alex on one side, Mourinho on the other, two sets of players going to war. The intensity, the tackles, the atmosphere… you could feel the whole country watching. We’d go toe-to-toe with them week in, week out, and every point felt like a trophy.
I look at the Premier League now and it’s different. The money’s mad, the players are unbelievable athletes, but that raw edge, that real rivalry… it’s not the same. Back then it was blood and thunder, two giants fighting for supremacy. I miss those days. Proper leaders, proper battles, proper glory. That’s what made it special."
