@simmonli Ah, I see. I am sorry to hear that. We're unable to cancel services over social media. You'll have to call in and wait to be connected with an agent to request cancellation. ^ch

@RogersHelps Hey folks, your online chat disconnects before connecting to an agent, and your phone system just hangs up on my important call. What gives?

@connormulcahey @hankgreen > maximizing freedom than anything resembling totalitarianism Who are the winners and losers of this maximizing of freedom? I think it would be a good idea for you to maybe think through the answer to this to figure out where you stand in history.

I interpret the goals of the administration as primarily motivated by expansion of free markets and maximizing freedom than anything resembling totalitarianism. Both sides are extremely motivated to do good to others and build a great future. The disagreement is how to get there. I find the physical track records of the entrepreneurs engaging with the administration to be compelling support that their methods have something effective about them. And the simple lack of results on many initiatives from the exiting administration suggest the opposite.

“Nazi” isn’t a slur. It’s a word that describes real people who earnestly believe in their ideas. Their ideas are disgusting and hateful, but of course they often do not realize it. I keep running into racists who think that it’s not white supremacist to think that white people are inherently superior to other races. No…that’s the whole definition!! The fact that they believe it earnestly and don’t think it’s an idiotic, hateful belief doesn’t mean it’s not an idiotic, hateful belief. Nazi isn’t a word that means “bad evil boogeyman” it means “someone who believes in their own racial superiority, extreme protectionist nativism, the purifying of society by eliminating undesirables, expansionism, active suppression of dissent, and total state power held in the hands of a very small group.” Make sure the people you’re cheering for don’t believe these things because otherwise…

@nslsc Hey guys, the "Customize my Payment Terms" page has some performance problems, and caused my Firefox to chug. Can you get your technical team to take a look?

@jm_mcgrath tvo.org/article/opinio… Love this article, but I really think that the tag line and article should replace every instance of "government" with "provincial government" - it should be very clear where the buck stops.

Someone found my GitHub profile and approached me for a dev job. However, they told me the interview process consists of coding challenges. Why? My GitHub contains all my work - my FT job's work and side projects. What would coding challenges show that my GitHub profile won't?

@dhh @zeeg The out of the box experience with VSCode is unreal, and it is an area that other editors lag in, though are getting closer. LazyVim is excellent, and does strip away a lot of tedium associated with customizing nvim.

@zeeg As a percentage of all programmers, neovim usage is very low. As a percentage of the best programmers I've worked with, it's much higher. Correlation is not causation. But there is a correlation. If you don't care, though, you definitely shouldn't. VSCode is fine.
