Thank you and farewell to Tracey Spare, retiring after many years as Royal Sutton Fun Run Event Director. Tracey has been fantastic, continuing the legacy founded in 1982 by his father. The Fun Run continues under the Directors, with HS Sports delivering the event going forward.

Entrants in this year's Royal Sutton Fun Run have selected 154 charities & voluntary organisations to benefit from sponsor money raised. This year's total, to be added to the £5.4million distributed since the first event in 1982, will be revealed this Friday, 17th October.

He was passionate about many things but most importantly, was his family. Our thoughts are with his close & extended family & his large network of friends as they come to terms with his passing. Brian with current RSFR Event Director Tracey Spare and Brian's grandson Ethan.

Brian was a fount of knowledge when it came to sports equipment, footwear and sportswear & was always happy to provide his years of retail experience & knowledge. He was an integral member of the Fun Run organising team for 21 years & continued to provide support on Fun Run Day.

It is with immense sadness to report that Brian Latham – who back in 1981 had the original idea of staging a Fun Run in Sutton Coldfield – passed away this morning aged eighty-three.
