there are 24 'shrines' we use in the anuyoga, so maybe that is what you are referring to re: 21 knots. I would say doing the 9 breath purification won't initiate a rlung (prana) disorder. Usually, it requires more intensive practice to trigger deleterious physiological symptoms. I'm not here to gaslight you, I am sure you are experiencing some ghastly somatic symptoms, but you can probably rule out the breathwork. I hope you continue playing with the breathwork! It will yield benefit if you keep exploring. Take care

I only saw your reply now! I don't do anything specific with the breath except for the initial 9 breaths (I considered the vajra fists aren't placed correctly and that's the issue)! Related to the knots situation - I do the 21 Taras practice taught by Chandra Easton. In this context I happened to hear from another student that each of the 21 Taras helps untie one of 21 knots in the energetic body. I tried to find out more from this woman and from a book she had recommended but I didn't manage to because it's probably a secret practice? So, (of course haha) I tried to figure it out with the help of Claude and we found some body maps that maybe contain 21 knots 👀 but we don't really know if those are the Tara knots! and I played with those areas a little. I guess by playing I do mean breathing out of them or under them to release them! It was similar to stuff I did before in other contexts like somatically focused IFS, hence my belief that it could have had a psychosomatic cause but I could be wrong. I travel a lot by bus sleeping in bad positions too 😅

Note to self: Don't do energetic practices you designed with the help of a paragraph from a book, a traditional Tibetan medical chart and Claude. 👀

UPDATE: #Boulder officials said the people responsible for this morning's "ICE OUT" on the Flatirons will not be cited since the sign was an overlay and did not damage the rock

@danielbrottman I've been doing the same. A jaunt up to the 1st Flatiron first thing every day along with a mountain sit. I also track Zone II cardio and stay in it for the majority of the jog/walk, and the results have been astonishing.

In total darkness, melatonin surges, 5-MeO-T accumulates, and the brain's default mode network loses its footing, revealing innate luminosity. We're teaching the preparation this spring. Lama Karma Wall, Andrew Holecek, and UVA professor David Germano. thefield.us/dark-retreat

@techgnostic I think a stronger connection (or devotion?) to family/love/bodhicitta/the ground of being would let me keep problems like these correctly sized in my existence

Grateful to work with designer and author @frank_chimero on a brand refresh for @fieldmeditation, including a custom tool for on‑brand illustrations and posts. Love seeing design craftsmanship lead while AI takes only a supporting role.

The soft edges of low visibility, morning silence, and the delicacy of the falling crystal flakes. A fresh snowdrift naturally invites relaxation into openness. So lovely to practice in the mountains this morning. Taking respite from the fray helps me stay resourced and energized as the world seems to grow more volatile by the minute.

Train in formless panic. It’s natural to unconsciously backtest old protective strategies before fully committing to the nakedness of openness. The inevitable engagement of a personal self with nonpersonal reality will be experienced as a threat to that vivid appearance self. I think you would appreciate this essay: current.thefield.us/p/weaponizing-… cheers

@p_millerd Seems like a currency would not have such a large price range? Pretty volatile to assume it's a store of value? A store of value suggests reliability across time, not just upward price movement. I consider it a spec asset until there is more widespread transactional adoption.

actually curious given most people arent going to buy BTC on cold wallets and BTC is increasingly just part of the us financial system, doesnt it have much lower odds of success as its own standalone currency?
