However what separates this from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria or to use historical examples Germany, Japan, Vietnam and Korea. We aren’t fighting to stop islamic extremism, destroy fascism or halt the advance of Authoritarian Socialism. The Israeli Government’s historical purpose and current policy is to displace, murder and expel the Palestinian population from the region in order to replace them with Jewish settlers. Everyone mischaracterises this conflict in terms of the Cold War or the GWOT. It isn’t, we aren’t watching Iraq or Afghanistan, what we are watching is the Trail of Tears with Smart Bombs. I personally am not as radical as the other morons on here, I view Israel as similar to the U.S and Australia, reversing colonisation now is completely impractical and there are entire generations of young Israelis who have known no other home, displacing or if Hamas had their way, exterminating them is just as much a crime. But the Israeli state fundamentally does not care, this is a feature, not a bug. They have annexed the West Bank , the Golan and Southern Lebanon, murder, persecute, displace Palestinians living there. Imagine if the Trump administration tomorrow decided to march troops into every single Indian reservation tomorrow to establish “freedom settlements” for Christian nationalist communities who want “whites only” and any native Americans who resist are instantly shot. Or more aptly, the Sharia Law zones that have started cropping up in London that the British government does nothing to stop. That is essentially what Israel is doing, racial supremacist religious nutcase Jewish immigrants from around the world, move into Palestinian communities with the support of the IDF and then violently displace them.
