Push carts = bad is a uniquely American take that I’ll get behind every time. If you’re not fit enough to carry a bag for 18 holes as an adult male, you’re out of shape. Seeing it in the junior and college game is crazy. Need to start there.

@acaseofthegolf1 Give me a break. The pro golf game is flooded with unreasonable amounts of money by an irrational actor. There’s more than enough paths and money if you are good enough to add any sort of value… if they really just want a place to play it’s never been easier to reinstate.

Here is the full LIV Q-school field. All of them will be suspended a minimum of a year once they hit a shot. I understand PGA Members getting suspended if they played. But for Americas Tour players or even worse non-members being suspended is petty, ridiculous, and in talking with lawyers, probably illegal. These are the very players that the pga tour is cutting out of their system. And then on the back end blocking them from earning a place to play. And to be clear, this is being suspended for a 2 in 90 chance of playing on LIV, a large portion of these guys will be suspended for playing 18 holes, missing, and not being able to play anywhere pga tour related for a year. I’d even be fine with a suspension if they got a LIV spot. But to prevent them from having a chance?? Sadly, the Tour knows no one will challenge them in court. A lawyer reached out to me saying he and his partner would do it for free except he can’t find a player willing to put their name on the challenge. I spoke with numerous players who didn’t play or turned down an invite because of the suspension. These guys aren’t some LIV diehards, nor do they hate the tour, the opposite in fact, they just want a place to play. The Tour and its board should be embarrassed that while cutting these very players from the tour they prevent them from even having a chance to earn a living. Rant Over, Merry Christmas.

@MyGolfSpy Blame the manufacturers! Bifurcation was and still is the best option. Regardless, the right way for golfers to improve is by practicing proper technique and taking lessons. Equipment inflation of all kinds is deteriorating the game. Golf is not supposed to be easy!

You will be hearing more and more about the golf ball rollback in the coming weeks. It’s arguably the most asinine decisions this sport has made in 50 years. It affects .1% of golfers the other 99.9% of amateur golfers don’t have a distance problem. There’s never been a golfer that we’ve ever asked that said “I hit the ball too far”. Amateur male golfers have gained .7 yards in 10 years (that’s 2.1 feet) and amateur women golfers have lost 3 yards. So what possible reason is there for a rollback? There isn’t one.

@BE_GoldenEagle I should rephrase - it would seem Marquette doesn’t even stand a chance to win the game. It’s one thing to be bad but frisky in a rivalry game. It’s another story when there’s no realistic path to victory for our side. Especially when our side generally cares more about this win

Can't remember the last time I didn't care about this game. The players don't care about this game like in the past. The constant overturning of rosters kill rivalries and lack of Wisconsin kids on both rosters makes this one less intense. And we are bad. This game has no juice

@shaka_apologist @jim_m_love This is exactly the point. Shaka has painted himself into a corner where he’s either a hypocrite (pushing someone out) or continues to trot out rosters that have more gaps and more underdeveloped players than the teams we are competing against.

@jim_m_love Totally agree. But with an already full roster for next season, getting some to come in means having to push someone else out.

A reminder for #mubb Twitter: 5 years ago we were led by Wojo and the program was at rock bottom. Shaka revitalized that program instantly and has been to the tournament every season. The fact that people are questioning if he’s the guy shows how spoiled we’ve become to success.

@JoeMcCann3 Our roster feels like a bad combination of undersized and below average shooting ability.

I’m still willing to be patient on Shaka’s development plan… but getting boat raced by a team with 9 transfers certainly doesn’t help his case.

What’s the nicest practice facility you’ve ever seen?

@TimGavrich @midamgolfhq Completely disagree on using Sedge. It’s a super fun course (for recreational play) but for purposes of hosting a very large and competitive golf tournament Sand Valley provides the requisite challenge and tests a full spectrum of required skills.

@midamgolfhq Would be really cool if the USGA used Sedge as the secondary stroke play course but I’m sure it’ll be the C&C course

@UglyFootballSta It’s definitely a unique course! Despite some quirky holes it has some of the best playing conditions of any course around!

Beautiful day at Hidden Glen, but the artificial mounding in this PB Dye design is not my style. Some holes seem poorly conceived & others, esp 3, 8 & 15 are simply contrived. The marshes & wetlands near Cederburg, Wis are beautiful. Why not build a course that accentuates that?
