@jjh_esq @factpostnews In the court of public opinion, settling, especially in the sexual assault of minor, is pretty damning. I don't think we would want the leader of our country to be of that character.

Well, that is your opinion. Mine is that there is no evidence Trump molested a child. The victims can file charges against anyone they claim did. They won’t because the victims all took settlements and signed NDAs and confidentiality agreements. So this story is merely an attempt by the victims to both keep the money and bring charges. That attempt failed and is going nowhere.

Reporter: Robert Garcia, out with a statement saying that the subpoena is to Pam Bondi whether she is Attorney General or not. She must come in to testify immediately. They are threatening to begin contempt of Congress charges if she does not indeed show up.

@jjh_esq @factpostnews Because they are working on a full cover up. Look, I was pissed that Biden's AG didn't do more, even if most of the documents were sealed due to Maxwell's appeal. But for the AG to not charge her with contempt just further displays the corruption within this admin.

@theoverhypedd @factpostnews No, I expected the AG would file contempt charges if they didn’t testify. The AG will not file charges against the former AG if she does not testify.

No, I pointed out nobody wants to testify ever. Particularly when you know it’s going to be a grueling affair with Democrats grandstanding and women crying. Moreover, tactically, the people claiming there is a coverup have the burden of proof. They can’t meet that burden without testimony. As such, denying them witness testimony prevents them from getting the evidence they must have to bring charges. So, don’t testify unless you are forced to testify.

Congress doesn’t have the power to do anything. Nobody wants to testify. Who wants to endure that circus of grandstanding Democrats. Plus, I advise clients not to testify all the time. No reason to give your opponent an opportunity. They have the burden of proof. Without evidence, they can’t meet their burden.

@jjh_esq @factpostnews If there was nothing to hide, why would she not testify and why would the executive have to rescue her? Her denying to testify only aids in a federal court pushing for testimony under civil enforcement.

@theoverhypedd @factpostnews If there is a new President who instructs his/her AG to prosecute. If not, Congress can’t enforce civil contempt or criminal contempt. And if they try to arrest her for inherent contempt, there is nothing stopping the Executive from rescuing her.

@jjh_esq @factpostnews It will move like a glacier, but ultimately she will have to give testimony after years of appeals. By then Trump will be dead, but this is no different than Holder, Barr and so forth.

They can try civil contempt, but it won’t survive appeal. That’s why the one time they attempted it, the House settled before it could be appealed. The House knew it would lose on appeal. All of the stems from the basic principles we learned in grade school civics: Congress passes laws, the Executive “executes” them. Congress can’t enforce civil contempt any more than it can enforce any law. It’s prohibited from doing such by the first sentence of Article II of the US Constitution.

@EdKrassen It is not simply "take Karg". You would be in a forever conflict that would take the lives of soldiers for years to come.

BREAKING: Fox News is reporting that only 2 oil tankers have crossed the Strait of Hormuz, and they are once again talking about having to invade Kharg Island to destroy Iran's oil production. “We do have an ace in the hole. We do have a strategic asset, and that is Kharg Island. We can wait til the very end of our operations and take control of it or destroy it. If we take control of it, we can use it as leverage with the Iranians. 90% of their oil distribution comes from Kharg Island. The first thing we would say to them is, ‘you have to give up all of you nuclear enterprise to us. You have to hand it over — the enriched uranium, what centrifuges you have left.’” So much for the apparently phony ceasefire deal.

@jjh_esq @factpostnews I am not worried about criminal contempt. As I said they would call it contempt of congress. AG would not do anything, then they would go through the path of civil enforcement. Geezus, fucking read.

@theoverhypedd @factpostnews No I didn’t. I proved the House needs the AG for criminal contempt. The House tried civil contempt and a declaratory judgment 1 time and then settled before a trial judge ruling could be overturned on appeal. Don’t believe me? Just wait as nothing will be done to Pam Bondi.

@Coovarra @MrGlobal2025 That is fair to say. It would ultimately fall into the ayatollah's hands or who is the current leader based on the hierarchy. Didn't mean Khamenei specifically

@theoverhypedd @MrGlobal2025 That would assume Khamenei is even alive, or not in a coma as has been rumored for weeks. I'm more inclined to agree with Charlie Garcia's Capitol Mischief reporting that the real person in charge of Iran now is IRGC leader Ahmad Vahidi, and he has no reason to want a deal

@jjh_esq @factpostnews Congress can issue a contempt of congress. They can then go to a federal judge, who can then issue a compelling testimony or documents. If she still refuses then it is contempt of court and US Marshalls can take her in. They could use Inherent Contempt as well.

If Pam Bondi thinks that she doesn't have to show up and testify before the House Oversight Committee about her cover-up of the Epstein files just because she got fired — she has another thing coming. We subpoenaed Pam, regardless of her employment status. We expect to see her next week, or she can expect to be held in contempt of Congress. Time is up for these games. The survivors deserve justice, and the American people deserve answers.

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi will not appear before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee next week to answer questions about the Justice Department's handling of the investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. cbsn.ws/41YNZ36

@KathyNGPGGC We were not at war with Iran, Israel has been. However, we created the regime in 70s with the help of the UK. Sorry that you don't know history at all. You should research and educate yourself.
