@wagslane @posthog super sad to hear this, and it's something I'm actively working on. we've had a few incidents with unusually high load recenly(not an excuse) is this the initial app load, or is this loading insights? if so, can you send links to some of the insights that are particularly slow?

hey @posthog love the app would be really nice to have it load in less than 20 seconds tho if you could stop shipping AI features I never use and instead make the app respond that would be gr8 kthxbye

I actually had a meet with Cory, and left him my feedback :) Some of it, I even saw come to fruition, which is fun. I use it for my personal project, and love it. Just saying that for enterprise, there are some things that Sentry does better, to name a few: * Release dashboards, custom Dashboards and Insights * Advanced filtering out of noisy errors * Archive with timelines * Delete & Discard * Integrations, e.g Jira

PostHog's error tracking is wacky. I use Sentry for enterprise. If you're already on Sentry, stay on Sentry; it's much better for error tracking, many more features. Take about analytics stands, PostHog is good for tiny/larger projects. You'll need to migrate to something more serious at a very large scale, and it'll probably be something like Snowlake, unless there is a specific marketing case, then it's customer.io or some other tooling. Regarding logs, OpenTelemetry is an industry standard, so if you implement it once, you can use it on all the log toolings.

posthog has added so much that the dashboard is almost unusable now i just want to see session recordings but it takes gazillion years to load a single recording :/

@jespr @posthog It’s at the top of the left sidebar now. But there’s also a small button at the top right, a pink sparkle. I’ve had a few people internally miss it, @posthog needs to make it more obvious, it’s so useful

@kes11av That is what sequential is. “strict order” is if users can’t skip steps in between

@timgl but what if i want to look at a sequential funnel but im okay with users skipping steps in between

what's the best platform for product analytics and a/b testing? i just cant get myself to use posthog man i need my software to look and feel artisanly designed

@kes11av Ah, that's only because you've selected "any order" under "step order", which just means "how many steps has a user completed". If you want an _ordered_ funnel you should set that to "sequential"

@timgl for starters when i setup a funnel i want the name of the event visible for each step instead of step 1, step 2

@kes11av amplitude.com is OG/heard good things, will prob try that or mixpanel on next startup currently use posthog but i dislike their product direction. it's a bunch of tools that all don't work that well. i've genuinely tried their data warehouse, it sucks so bad

@mfts0 @posthog if any users still have a browser window open from before you toggled that switch, they'll continue sending events until they reload that page. Give it a day or so and they should all disappear

how do i turn off these autocapture events in @posthog seems like the global setting is being ignored...

@posthog it seems like more of your packages were affected than you listed here, it was shai hulud, the first attack should've been warning enough to up your op-sec

We are currently deprecating those versions from our package managers and will republish clean versions of the libraries. The impacted versions we have identified so far are: posthog-node 4.18.1 posthog-js 1.297.3 posthog-react-native 4.11.1 posthog-docusaurus 2.0.6 If you have deployed any of these versions of our packages, please replace with an earlier version immediately. We will update you as soon as we have published the clean versions.

Patient zero for this campaign was AsyncAPI, followed by PostHog and then Postman. They specifically went for the highest-impact packages first.
