These look like stock images, but they’re not :)
Just our charming team at Comp AI last night at the A+ mixer with founders building seriously ambitious companies.
Sharp people, great conversations, and an extremely high-talent-density room.
Loved meeting so many of you in person. Thanks for having us.

Ferndesk hit $5K MRR!
~5 years ago, when I first discovered indie hacking, I set myself a very specific goal:
Build and run a solo business that reached $5K/month in recurring revenue.
So when I was 17, I started my first company Senja.
That journey ended up becoming much bigger than I ever expected. Senja grew to $70K + MRR before I left, and I learned an insane amount from building it.
But Ferndesk is the first time I’ve hit that milestone in the way I imagined it back then: solo, lean, with me at the steering wheel.
It only took 5 years, but I’m genuinely so happy to have reached it.
That being said, it's not enough.
It took exactly one year since I shared the idea to hit $5K MRR.
By this same time next year, I want to be at $50K
Doing this has been very uncomfortable so far.
Ferndesk is a very different product from my first, and a lot of the skills I gained don't directly carry over.
So I'm getting outside my comfort zone.
Next, I'm taking big marketing and product bets.
✅ Revamped pricing this month
✅ Hired someone to scale one of our primary marketing channels (SEO).
🚧 Going all in on founder-led sales and marketing.
🚧 Investing in compliance (thanks @compai 🙏)
🚧 And we have really ambitious releases coming soon.
More than anything, I want to show what can happen when you show up daily and grind on an idea over multiple years.
Ferndesk chapter #2 starts now 🫡

I sat down with @Thom_Wolf, CEO at Hugging Face.
He is a physicist, a lawyer, and a doctor.
They started as a game company.
Now they host half a million AI models.
I asked whether computers can be compliant.
He said yes.
I have never felt more seen.

URGENT - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
My portfolio company @compai is looking to hire a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Miami (on-site only).
I am opposed to this hire, as it would allow them to ship faster.
But I am obligated by fiduciary duty to make this post.
If you know of anyone sufficiently qualified please have them send in their CV via Fax (preferred).
or have them email hello@trycomp.ai

I sat down with @Altimor
He built an AI executive assistant.
It can manage your inbox, calendar, and do 90% of what his EA used to do.
I asked what happens to the humans.
Partly out of concern.
Partly because I have no backup career.
Then I asked to join his board.

I sat down with @hthieblot.
He built and sold Curse.
He invests in AI and robotics.
He writes checks to 17-year-olds.
I asked how much due diligence he does.
He said he mostly invests “based on vibes.”
I am reporting this to the proper authorities.

The team at @compai might be good at compliance but they aren’t good at FPL.
I think there was a bet on but i can’t remember, either way I’ll take it.

People are caught up on the model wars…
GPT-whatever vs Claude-whatever.
(spoiler: that's not where the AI race is going…)
(nor what people should be focused on.)
What's actually coming is convergence.
Multiple exponentials merging.
e.g. Optimus + Grok 7…
We consistently underestimate this stuff because we think linearly… but technology doesn't move linearly, it compounds
“Slowly, then all at once”
