@annalapwood @DCMS @OliverDowden As I write this, @excathedrachoir is rehearsing online for a live performance in Symphony Hall, B'ham this w/end to a socially distanced audience. All the choir are trained singers but some do it for love. Banning them would be utter nonsense. Think again Mr Dowden

This is ridiculous & another blow to our industry. @DCMS-why are people allowed to eat in crowded restaurants when choirs can’t meet socially-distanced in well-ventilated rooms? @OliverDowden please realise that choirs do so much for health & well-being & we need your support!!

Absolutely appalled at Oliver Dowden DCMS who has banned 'amateur' singers in groups of more than 6 from performing indoors - even socially distanced. But no such ban for football and 'live' music fans who can sing & chant in close proximity!
