@talkaboutlufcv2 It will be our fault if we go down mate. 43 points was never enough. 50 points is the minimum for safety in my opinion.

Not good at all this. Everyone else is currently picking up points. Leeds are no longer safe. If results keep going against us and we lose to spurs and west ham then 43 points will not be enough to secure safety. That's the facts, it's time we stop being cocky. #LUFC

@DeanoCummings85 Take Afcon & ridiculous accumulative injuries out of the equation, you could probably add a few points to our tally! 17th by the skin of our teeth was what we all prayed for. We’ve been safe for weeks, never been lower than 13th all season & STILL have a (slim) chance of Europe!

I cannot believe i am seeing people on me timeline wanting Le Bris out out man. Get the summer recruitment underway, strengthen what is already a thoroughly decent squad and we will be reet as rain come August.

@GavSAFC89 Wrongly in my opinion. We haven’t had a full squad almost all season due to Afcon and bloody multiple injuries at the same time. Any manager, of any team, would most likely have done far worse than he has, never mind one of a newly put together/promoted one!

Frustrating again to concede from a corner - three in two games now. I thought Sunderland handled the situation well with 10 men, and Le Bris was positive with his changes. Still feels like an opportunity missed, with a tough run of final fixtures coming up. #SAFC | #WOLSUN

DAN BALLARD SENT OFF! Judged to have pulled hair during a coming-together after Paul Tierney went to his monitor after VAR flagged it. 🐺 [0-1] 🐈‍⬛ #SAFC | #WOLSUN

@JamesCopley_ Red if it’s intentional as in it would be violent conduct. But what’s violent about a shirt pull that accidentally also catches a loose braid? Eyes on the ball, no intention whatsoever = not violent conduct!

@JamesCopley_ Poor from Ballard. Whatever you think of the rule , this same referee sent off somebody for hair pulling 2 weeks ago and the FA backed him.

@Paul18sland @Yellowbug1969 @sunderlandafc11 He absolutely deserves the chance to strengthen the squad + go again next season 100%. He took us from 16th in CShip to mid table prem with a brand new + depleted squad for almost half of the season. We did the double over ‘them’ + have pulled off some cracking results!!!

@trayanjo @Yellowbug1969 @sunderlandafc11 So if we don’t win another game you are happy to give him another season? See I can’t see owner letting that slip and won’t trust him for season after if they want to progress as a club, thank you for you have done but moving on to a better manager would be the smartest move

Sunderland AFC News And Banter Page@sunderlandafc11·
Sunderland are planning to sit down and “review” the future of manager Regis Le Bris at the end of the season, sources have told Football Insider. Speculation has been swirling regarding the 50-year-old’s future in recent days, but it is understood that he still has plenty of credit in the bank at the Stadium of Light. The club hierarchy are aware of the Frenchman’s popularity among the fans, but sources say that their strong level of ambition is set to spark a review of their managerial situation regardless The Black Cats have struggled for form in recent weeks, and that culminated in their heaviest defeat of the season when they were beaten 5-0 by Nottingham Forest last time out. Le Bris has been under pressure at Sunderland of late, and the last few weeks of the season could potentially be crucial when it comes to deciding his long-term future. footballinsider247.com/sunderland-to-…

@Yellowbug1969 @sunderlandafc11 So if we beat Wolves, there’s every chance we win 4 straight? All on the Wolves game then eh? He at least deserves next season regardless of what happens in our remaining games!

@sunderlandafc11 Lose to Wolves this week and there’s every chance we end the season losing 6 straight. If that happens KLD has every right to give him the boot.

@Billyjakey @eb92safc Well that’s a silly take. Forest got recent draws with Villa and Man City, does that mean they are just as good as them? You can’t judge how good/bad a team is from one game! Over 34 games, yes we have been better than Forest and Leeds come to that!

@jackthirlaway @SpursOfficial Could still be deemed as an agenda against Spurs, the officials wanted Forest to win, the blatant pen for Everton not given yesterday because they wanted WH to win 🤷‍♀️ We’ve all laughed but…

@TheRealAnthHunt Me too! Those that booed and cried all the way home are those who flip the table when they lose a game of cards 🤣🤣🤣 This season (for a first season) has been great, Forest got the bit between their teeth early on and capitalised on some rare mistakes. Take it on the chin 👍

The booing at the HT whistle which quickly transformed into a defiant roar of togetherness when Xhaka and Mukiele came over, and the subsequent party atmosphere in the second half left me feeling strangely proud last night, which is a weird thing to say after a 5-0 loss. #SAFC

@FootballEnt2334 @LeonWobYP We still have half a dozen from the champ and often start 4or 5 of them! Le Fee Rigg Hume Ballard O’Nien Have all been recent starters for us plus a couple on the bench. Some of them along with Isidor and Mayenda were starters from the beginning - far from ripping up the squad!

@LeonWobYP That’s only the case if you already have a squad as good as ours, no disrespect to all the promoted teams this year, but they absolutely have to rip up their squad to even have a chance

Biggest lesson from Leeds United's superb season is showing that you don't have to rip up your squad after being promoted from Championship. Many should take note. #lufc

@LeonWobYP You’ve been in the bottom half amongst relegation fodder all (or most of the) season! Sunderland have spent most of it in the top half despite Afcon and long term injuries! And, we still regularly start 4 or 5 from last season!

Tough game on Friday, Forest will be bang up for it given their remaining games after ours. I think we will need to be at our best to beat them, which we are more than capable of. I'd like to see us attack them like we did Villa at times. #SAFC

We can still go 6th, given that we play before anyone else on Friday. Will be a tough test against a team battling for survival but we’ve bounced back before. Brighton v Chelsea means at least one of them is dropping points too.

@wardmajor @SAFCsource Obviously if both us and Everton win, they will be 6th and we will be 7th. But since we still have them to play, 6th at the close of season would be in our hands. Still very unlikely but definitely possible 👍

@wardmajor @SAFCsource Even a draw would only put Everton in 48. We win and we’re on 49 🤷‍♀️ Still a big ask but if we do win tomorrow, a 6th place finish is in our own hands regardless of what Everton do.

Not sure what parallel universe we've been living in over the last year but Man Utd winning at Chelsea is great for our chances of European qualification. Get a win tomorrow and we go 6th, which could end up being enough for the Champions League!
