Said it to myself as soon as the international break ended, Sunderland’s bubble has burst. They play a lot of rock & roll, hit & hope football which is heavily dependent on their support, not sustainable IMO for a full season. They’ve lost their momentum before the derby.

@Berwick17 @MagpieMediaX How do you blame PSR when you spaffed more than the cost of our entire squad up the wall on Woltemade, Elanga and Wissa? You outspent us by about £100m in the summer... But it's always PSR that's the problem 🙄

@wardmajor @MagpieMediaX As I said they have an experienced European manager. I think the combination of PSR and the timing of the Isak deal (which was probably nufc's fault) derailed the recruitment. We ended up looking at scraps. Villa weren't waiting on that big deal and got on with business.

@Berwick17 @MagpieMediaX So why do Villa compete in both Europe and the Prem? You said the reason NUFC can't is PSR. Are Villa not subject to the same PSR rules? It's almost like it's not PSR that's the problem...

@wardmajor @MagpieMediaX And we are 6 points away from 6th where Villa finished last season with 7 games to go. I think Howe is a great premiership manager but he lacks the Euro experience of someone like Emery who can rotate. Top and bottom of it is he doesn't think the fringe players are good enough.

@wardmajor @MagpieMediaX Not sure your aware of this but there's a few different European competitions. We were in the hardest one with all the money and the good teams. Granted Villa also have a manager who rotates and has experience in Europe tho.

@MagpieMediaX You look at the fact that we've played 51 games this season against their 35 and yet again weve had the worst injury record of any team. We looked wrecked out there today after Barca midweek. The squad needs an overhaul. Due to PSR we either do well in Europe or prem, not both.
