In recent military operations you had senior commanders and politicians that didn’t give a shit about winning a war. They’re job were to keep the war going for 2 decades, get rich, secure a consulting job making 6 figures and never deal with the children growing up without their fathers or parents who lost their children so they could get that promotion. Your focusing on the ethics of someone on a battlefield they should have never been on, with ROEs that killed more Americans than the enemy as opposed to the senior military flag officers and politicians ethics in sending them their to die in the first place is typical. Typical of a mindset of someone who’s never been in urban warfare, is insecure in their profession and is a narcissist who needs to feel important. You, like most academics, are the problem and too far removed from reality to realize you’re not important. You have a mindset created by warfare 20 yrs ago and everything about it has changed. I’m more pissed off now, than I had been. Tech is being hit hard right now. However, I think it will swing back shortly. AI is becoming too expensive to run for most companies that replaced workers, and they will start rehiring at higher pay soon. We just need to stop these visas.
