I’ve had this post pinned to my profile since early November 2024 because of what it represented to me: my daughter’s first time exercising her right to vote. My belief, despite having doubts, in the democratic process. My belief in a movement and person I felt would fight for real change. I recently unpinned it given what I am experiencing … feelings of betrayal, confusion, anger, gullibility. And instead of fellow patriots understanding these very real feelings MANY are experiencing, we are met with insults (doomer, panican, libtard) completely unwarranted and childish AF. I’ll say it again, it takes a helluva lot more courage to go against the grain than to be a simp for it. RIP to the America I longed for and tried to believe in. 😢

I’m not very talented generally, but I’ve always had one skill. I can read people quickly. I usually see through their bullshit and recognize them for who they really are. Be honest with yourself for a minute. I know how I would react. It would be the same regardless of whether it was Biden, Harris, Trump, or anyone else. My reaction is based on the action itself, not the name of the person doing it.But I can almost guarantee that many of the people cheering right now would be absolutely furious if Harris were doing the exact same things that Trump is doing today. Consistency matters. If something is wrong when one side does it, it should also be wrong when your own side does it.

Here's what they're not telling you: - The $250 DoorDash credit: It's $10 off per order with a $50 minimum. You need to place 25 separate $50+ orders in a year to use it all. Miss a month, it's gone. - The Function Health membership You get a $365 credit. If you're in NY, the membership costs ~$615. You're covering the difference. And if you live in Hawaii or Rhode Island, you're excluded entirely. - The Oura perk Only applies if you buy a brand new Oura Ring within 6 months. Already own one? You get nothing. And the credit is $70, just the membership, not the ring. - The dining credit Capped at $20/month at restaurants Robinhood chooses. They can change the list whenever they want. - The hotel credit Only $100 of each $250 semi-annual credit can go toward standard hotels. The rest must be "Luxury" And Robinhood's portal is more expensive than direct. - As a New Yorker the $250 autonomous rides credit is useless For $695/year it's still deal for some, just make sure to read the fine print

Here is re-post of an internal post: We have been working with the DoW to make some additions in our agreement to make our principles very clear. 1. We are going to amend our deal to add this language, in addition to everything else: "• Consistent with applicable laws, including the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution, National Security Act of 1947, FISA Act of 1978, the AI system shall not be intentionally used for domestic surveillance of U.S. persons and nationals. • For the avoidance of doubt, the Department understands this limitation to prohibit deliberate tracking, surveillance, or monitoring of U.S. persons or nationals, including through the procurement or use of commercially acquired personal or identifiable information." It’s critical to protect the civil liberties of Americans, and there was so much focus on this, that we wanted to make this point especially clear, including around commercially acquired information. Just like everything we do with iterative deployment, we will continue to learn and refine as we go. I think this is an important change; our team and the DoW team did a great job working on it. 2. The Department also affirmed that our services will not be used by Department of War intelligence agencies (for example, the NSA). Any services to those agencies would require a follow-on modification to our contract. 3. For extreme clarity: we want to work through democratic processes. It should be the government making the key decisions about society. We want to have a voice, and a seat at the table where we can share our expertise, and to fight for principles of liberty. But we are clear on how the system works (because a lot of people have asked, if I received what I believed was an unconstitutional order, of course I would rather go to jail than follow it). But 4. There are many things the technology just isn’t ready for, and many areas we don’t yet understand the tradeoffs required for safety. We will work through these, slowly, with the DoW, with technical safeguards and other methods. 5. One thing I think I did wrong: we shouldn't have rushed to get this out on Friday. The issues are super complex, and demand clear communication. We were genuinely trying to de-escalate things and avoid a much worse outcome, but I think it just looked opportunistic and sloppy. Good learning experience for me as we face higher-stakes decisions in the future. In my conversations over the weekend, I reiterated that Anthropic should not be designated as a SCR, and that we hope the DoW offers them the same terms we’ve agreed to. We will host an All Hands tomorrow morning to answer more questions.

Its a shame the peak player counts are so low because it gives the impression to those outside of destiny that renegades is a terrible expansion when in reality its honestly pretty solid but is having to suffer consequences rended by previous lackluster expansions and choices
