The Idaho State Constitution currently requires that elected statewide office holders under Article lll, IV and V must be a United States Citizen. State residency requirements are 30 days for electors, 2 years for governor and judges. I propose an amendment to wit: Any candidate for statewide or district office and appointees must be a 'natural born' citizen of the United States and must have maintained physical residency in the state for a minimum of 5 years. I also encourage cities/towns in the state to enact laws stating the same.
