the single strongest argument for giving trans ppl hrt is that it works. the fact that you can actually, meaningfully, change your sex needs to be at the forefront of all trans advocacy/education going forward

@staticbluebat I re-read LA Confidential recently and while I still like the book I think most folks would agree the movie is better even though it wildly diverges after like the first hour.

Trying to think of books where the film adaptation is considered vastly superior in quality. An odd one would probably be The Bridges of Madison County which consistently is picked as one of Clint's best directed films but the novel is usually considered mediocre at best
