@YuikaiChan I feel the same way. I keep my DMs pretty private too. The reason I asked is because this isn't the first time a regular has sent me a friend request, I left it pending, and then they left the server. I'm starting to wonder if some people take it more personally than I realized.

@valhsia I used to accept everyone and anyone. Until I realised how important your private and personal space is for your mental health. And now I only allow friends in my person dm space. Else the rest be in discord community group.

A question for streamers 👀 Do you accept Discord friend requests from your viewers/server members? I've noticed some people seem to take it personally when requests aren't accepted, so I'm curious how other creators handle this. #twitch #discord #streamer

This just randomly appeared on my timeline and I wanted to reply cause I’ve had this happen. Unfortunately mine was due to someone spam reporting me (I banned them and their friends who came into my chat and immediately started throwing insults and slurs around). My account DID get unbanned when I appealed it, it took about a week from memory. However, not once did I get to speak to an actual person, and got 0 clarification on if my account would be safe from further targeted attacks 🥲 apparently, if enough reports are sent in during a short time for ‘botting’ it flags the system and it automatically suspends you as a ‘safety’ feature… 🤦‍♀️ I hope they fix it for you sooner than later. They WILL get around to it, it’s just super disappointing that we get 0 human support.

In 1984, Josef Fritzl tricked his 18-year-old daughter, Elisabeth, into the basement of their home in Amstetten, Austria. Once she was inside, he knocked her unconscious, locked her behind a reinforced door, and kept her there for 24 years. Upstairs, the rest of the family continued living normally. Fritzl told his wife, Rosemarie, that Elisabeth had run away to join a sect. He forced Elisabeth to write letters from the basement to support the story. In that basement, without windows, ventilation, or medical care, Elisabeth gave birth to seven children. Three grew up locked there with her, never seeing daylight. Three others were taken upstairs, left at the door with notes, and raised by Rosemarie as grandchildren. One baby died a few days after birth, and Fritzl cremated the body inside the house. The truth came out in 2008 when one of the children became seriously ill and had to be taken to the hospital. It was the first time Elisabeth had been outside since 1984. Doctors alerted the police. Fritzl was arrested that same day and confessed two days later. In 2009, he was sentenced to life in prison. Elisabeth and her surviving children were given new identities and have lived under protection ever since. Elisabeth was 18 when she was locked in that basement. She was 42 when she saw daylight again.
