The cost of everything is going up by more than you can afford, your job is being abolished, the things you enjoy are being made illegal/prohibitively expensive, they're devaluing your assets, replacing you with sexually incontinent low IQ third worlders, and they want a big war so they can send your children away to die. The conduct of a tiny minority in the House of Lords who have used every tactic imaginable to make sure the Assisted Dying Bill fails has been awful. I have long believed the Lords is simply not fit for purpose as a second chamber. This has cemented my view hard, and I imagine will make others realise just how ludicrous our legislative systems are. Sad day.

The government's already introduced total parity across all fuel types for modern cars at £200.
So why not introduce that flat rate across ALL cars, regardless of age?
There are low-income families out there trying and failing to shift £3k cars because the VED is crippling.

Make it make sense! Range SVR well over 300g/km CO2: cheapest annual VED out of the lot. Discounted pre-2001 regs mean a 4.1 V8 Cadillac kicking out ~350g/km is in the middle. Sub-200g/km runabout that's only asking £495 will cost you £410 to tax for a year. FFS.
