I’m 😀 for @OnCrawl & the nice folks I’ve interacted with over the years, but 😭 for SEOs. Hopefully @brightedge doesn’t eff it up as they are one of the worst tools/companies I’ve ever used/interacted with (not everyone, but on the whole). I refuse to use @brightedge #seo

@timsoulo The answer should depend on the website’s distribution of traffic across mobile vs desktop. The more interesting Q&A here is why, if any, a mobile/desktop ranking may significantly differ from the other over time.

@MarkPreston1969 Presumably the freelancer knows more about SEO (or is adding more value) than the business that hired them though, right? If you take a paid job, you’re still taking money from a business. Tough to knock folks for trying to learn and earn a living.

I'm all for #SEO folk going freelance, but some of the questions I get asked from some freelancers are really basic. My message to you is... If you are not sure about what you are doing, do not take money from businesses. Stick to the paid job and improve your skillset.
