These are the issues! I keep saying it, this generation has lost a lot of the simple home training we grew up with. Dem no born me well make I visit my friends’ houses back then — Dafe, Ini, Stephen, Chike, David, Nnanna — and their parents are carrying loads from the market or doing something stressful while I sit down and dey press phone. E no possible! Na we the friends go even rush help carry bags, arrange things, or assist in any way we could. It wasn’t even something anybody had to tell us. It was just how we were raised. And the same thing happened whenever my friends came to my parents’ house. They respected my parents and were always ready to help out too. That’s how you know children were properly trained. These days, some people will just sit down, watch elders struggle, and act like it’s none of their business.
