The Eagles have other financial priorities right now. A potential Hurts extension will be on the table next year.
That doesn’t mean they are dissing him by not redoing his deal way ahead of schedule. If this season goes well, they’ll certainly look to do that. Until then, 🤷🏼♂️

If the Eagles really want "more" from Jalen Hurts before an extension is given... they risk 2 things
1. Him proving everyone wrong again and making that next contract more expensive than it would be if done now
2. If he is asking for it now and they say no... he may play hard ball and give less team friendly structure
