A friend in Australia told me this yesterday . She is a pensioner who doesn't own a property. Has 310,000 earning interest. Her pension has dropped $100 per fortnight because Plebershek has risen deeming rates twice. She then has to do a tax return as her pension becomes income. She then has to pay them $2k in tax . That is unbelievable for earning an extra $14k she loses $4.5k.

@woolfe @mark16pg Why are you getting likes when you're incorrect, if you have a full pension and make say in this example maybe 15k you are definitely paying tax. The worst bit is say you're over 45k, due to losing sapto offset and 30+2% tax rate those dollars are getting taxed at like 45%
