At one stage this year as I lay in the ICU, I was pretty close to not being here. As I lay dying, not once did my thoughts turn to money or crypto. But, fuck I'm glad I'm still here and got to see Bitcoin go over 100k. 14 years of conviction for me and holding through 90% drops multiple times. Normally I'd not even celebrate things like this, but after the year I've had, any chance to celebrate things, I'll be taking with both hands.

Ever seen a coin toss to win a @BoredApeYC? Now you have. If there are over 3 goals in the Manchester United v Liverpool FA cup game, @NFTeams_ is giving away their bored ape.

The COIN FLIP is about to start. 953 days ago, @day25 purchased this @BoredApeYC for 9.99 ETH as one of the prizes for @NFTeams_ Thanks to full IP rights, we created 98 Bored Ape derivative teams. These teams compete in our monthly T1 tournament (we give away $10k every single month) against the other 9902 NFTeams BTW, we still have over $1million to give away. If a Bored Ape team ever won the T1 Tournament, that would trigger the coin flip. If no Bored Ape team won after 4 years (48 tournaments), the Bored Ape is returned to the entire community. The odds were 98/10,000 x 48 = 47% chance that it would be triggered in the 4 years. But as we welcomed the NFT winter, many teams stopped playing, and with around 5,500 team competing each month (and most of the 98 Bored Apes), the odds were very much in their favor. 98/5500 * 48 = 85% chance. After 26 tournaments, the coin toss has now been triggered by @sports_btc_mngr During those 26 months, as we saw the value of the Bored Ape go all the way to 150 ETH before crashing back down to it's current 15 ETH floor price, we also received a heap of $APE, and Otherdeed, a Mara and a HV-MTL. We have staked the $APE and now have 20,000 APE fully staked. Now for the coin toss. Mario will first pick which sport he wants (AFL, NRL, or a Mystery Sport) and will be given a game and the line or total for that game. He will make his choice within 1 hour of receiving the choice. If he picks correctly, the Bored Ape Tournament will be activated and all 98 Bored Ape teams will compete to win the real Bored Ape. If his pick is incorrect, the Bored Apes still have 22 more tournaments to try and get the Bored Ape tournament started. It should be a fun weekend. Stay tuned for more info over the coming days.
