If you are trying to build a house in Australia, you will know that house prices won't go down all that much.
Even without prices dropping, buying used is so much cheaper than building new.

The great Aussie housing bust is gathering momentum. Over the past three months, Cotality data show Melbourne and Sydney dwelling values deflating at an 11 per cent and 13 per cent annualised pace. While Brisbane and Perth prices are still technically climbing, they are losing steam fast. It would not surprise if Brisbane, barely appreciating at a 3 per cent rate, rolls over soon. Bricks and mortar in Perth could likewise shudder to a halt. Nationally, home values are shrinking at a 6 per cent annual clip, which is bound to get worse. afr.com/markets/equity…

My assumption is they are going to use colorjet printing.
A machine costs around $60k new. $10k used.
Then it's based on volume. I'd guess a 15cm figure will cost $50 in materials.
Add in labour and machine costs/overhead and you get to around $70-$100.
Add some fancy packaging and I'd assume they sell a 15cm figure for $200-$250 USD.

@backseats_eth My guess is a colorjet 3d printer setup, works ok for pastel colours. Still a bit expensive for toys, but we will see.

I've been 3d printing and painting NFTs for years now. Will be interesting to see what sort of material and technique they use and the price point.
Great quality at a reasonable price only works at scale.
But cool to see a bigger team do what I've been doing at scale.
