just read a paper from 2017 that used a combination of ABI SOLiD and Roche 454 Titanium sequencing data for assembly of H. pylori SS1 I am guessing this was OLD data that finally got published in 2017? really suprised. journals.asm.org/doi/epub/10.11…

@bioinformer yes, the 454/SOLiD was data from ~2010 that took a long time to disambiguate enough to publish because the genome was such a puzzle. lf only nanopore was readily available at the time… (Also, note that there is PacBio and Illumina data in this paper too!)
