@path2kill @zu2jin i didnt say its “inherently” male centered it’s just that the modern word has been changed FOR men so, the word female in its modern form, is different from its ancestors in the sense that its been changed to involve men. its from a linguistic perspective that i make this comment

@path2kill @zu2jin okay my bad, english is not my first language. i mean maybe something more similar to “as is”, “if we look at it plainly”, basically just looking at the word and analyzing it. and regarding your other comment, i pose the question of why did the change in spelling have to be made?

@mofuwas @zu2jin languages go through lots of changes and words are often reshaped to make them look/sound more like other familiar words. we dont know the exact historical reasons but theres 0 evidence that “it was changed for/to involve men” , thats a claim u made & the burden of proof is on u
