Airstrikes Target Militias in Iraq’s Disputed Territories and Sunni Heartland, Not the Shia-Dominated South From Jurf al-Sakhar and Baghdad to al-Qaim, Mosul, Kirkuk, and Tuz Khurmatu, the strike campaign has widened sharply since late February. But even as it has expanded, it still concentrates on the militias’ forward military infrastructure in Iraq’s disputed north, western border belt, and Sunni heartland, while avoiding the deep southern Shia core, where these factions retain their densest political and social base. The expanding strike campaign against Iran-aligned militias in Iraq is not random. Even as the map has widened since late February, its geographic logic remains remarkably consistent. The attacks are still concentrated on militia deployments, headquarters, checkpoints, command nodes, and logistics infrastructure in Iraq’s northern, western, and disputed belts, while the deep Shia south remains outside the strike map. The most heavily targeted militias appear to be Kataib Hezbollah, followed by Hashd al-Shabak and Kataib Imam Ali, with repeated or notable strikes also hitting Asaib Ahl al-Haq, Ansar Allah al-Awfiya, Saraya al-Khorasani, Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, Badr-linked structures, Quwat al-Turkmen, Fawj Amerli, Kataib Jund al-Imam, Risaliyun, Kataib Babiliyoun, Waad Allah, Haras Nainawa, Liwa Salah al-Din, and mixed PMF command nodes. رأي | تمرةٌ في العراق، جمرةٌ في مصر: في السياق التاريخي، يعد التنافس على زعامة الطائفة الشيعية محصورًا بين ثلاثة محاور؛ العراق - مصر - بلاد فارس، لأغراض الاستغلال الاقتصادي (المزارات والإتاوات) والتجنيد السياسي (الولاءات العابرة للحدود)، لذا فإن المنافسة على استرداد تلك الزعامة المشوهة يجري الآن بين العراق ومصر في ظل التراجع المتوقع للزعامة الفارسية، وسيبدأ بالظهور جليًا في الإعلام والخطب والمنابر، بحجة لملمة الإرث الفارسي المنهار وإعادة احتواء الطوائف ذات الأبعاد المرجعية، لكنها منافسة محسومة مسبقًا لصالح العراق، فالتدجين الذي مارسته المرجعيات الفارسية والتطرف الذي زرعته عنوة في العقل الجمعي للطائفة الشيعية العراقية بعد الثورة الخمينية، لا يمكن إصلاحه وتصحيحه إلا من خلال مرجعية النجف العلوية، وليس مرجعية الأزهر الفاطمية. ومن الممكن أن تتسبب تلك المنافسة بظهور عداوات معلنة بين الدولتين، وكذلك تصادمات واضطرابات شعبية داخل مصر - كما حصل بعد محاولة حكومة الإخوان في 2013 بإعادة التشيع إلى مصر وتفعيل رحلات السياحة الدينية الإيرانية، ثم تعليق الاتفاقية السياحية مع إيران بعد تفجر اضطرابات شعبية وصولًا إلى حادثة "زاوية أبو مسلم“، فضلًا عن التوتر المتوقع والذي سينشأ حتمًا مع دول العالم السني خصوصًا السعودية ودول الخليج. - آمل من مستشاري الطمع المالي في مصر أن يتخلوا عن هذه المقامرة الخاسرة، فالعراق أحق بهذه التمرة الساقطة، والتي ما إن تختطف إلى مصر، ستتحول إلى جمرة.
