@SZionale @aibytekat I have 3 kids. They all drive me crazy. All 3 super emotional, impatient, energy flows through the roof. And when I go to play ground with them, and see other kids, they are all hyper active and that’s how I know it’s totally ok.
English

@078sky @aibytekat Yes just one. Teachers tell you this in the first few months of elementary school. Whether it's in relationships with others, in isolating oneself, in being unable to sit still during class, in being unable to follow lessons, in rushing through assignments, etc.
English

@SZionale @aibytekat How do you feel about the diagnosis? Do you agree with it? No doubts? Did they prescribe aderall?
English

@SZionale @aibytekat Do you have only one child? And have you noticed clear differences compared to other kids that make you confident in your son’s diagnosis?
English

@AdrienEmber @aibytekat That’s so fucked up. I never met a single adhd person and not even heard about such thing until moved to the us when I was 30. Makes me wonder.
Have you ever thought that you might be wrongly diagnosed? Did they prescribe you aderall at 5 yo?
English

@078sky @aibytekat I was diagnosed in the 90’s at 5. I don’t remember the process other than speaking with a psychologist.

When I was a kid, nobody talked about ADHD, and people were doing just fine. Everyone struggles with focus and patience sometimes we all have emotions and racing thoughts, especially as adults. And kids are still learning self-control and discipline, eating sugar and behave crazy, but this is not disorder, that’s a norm.
Now it feels like everyone thinks something is wrong with them just because they have a lot on their mind, and it all gets labeled as ADHD. With how broad the diagnostics are, almost any kid, any adult could be diagnosed.
To me, it feels like a huge pharma-driven problem. What bothers me most is how it’s sometimes framed as something that makes you “special” or “gifted.” I think ADHD isn’t well defined, proven and is overdiagnosed, and the way it’s often treated - with potentially addictive medication is a serious issue.
Another question to ask, why so many people in the US diagnosed with adhd compared to othrr countries? Is it environmental, food, genetics or marketing?

I'm always interested in hearing others' opinions. Unfortunately, ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions aren't diagnosed with one simple test—nor is everyone who has them the same.
I agree that many clinicians have misdiagnosed or been too quick to prescribe medication. Many people assume the only solution or help comes in the form of a stimulant.
The flip side is also true, in my opinion. Some helpful medications are stimulants and do have abuse potential; however, they don't affect someone with ADHD the same way. For some, it's a greater struggle to remember to take them than to abuse them.
I'm curious about your position and why you feel the way you do?
English

@078sky @aibytekat Of course! And I take part in experimental courses with other parents to address ADHD issues. So I see different situations with common features.
English

@AdrienEmber @aibytekat How did you find out you have adhd? What was diagnostics process?
English

@078sky @aibytekat No. It’s classified as a disorder. To be clear, I’m not on medication for my ADHD. I’ve learned ways to work around it but it was really hard. It’s still hard some days.
English

@078sky @aibytekat It depends on the situation and age. At school, some kids kick doors when they're angry but if instead they just get up and walks around the desks it's bearable.
English

@078sky @aibytekat You’re technically right. ADHD isn’t a disease. It’s a disorder.

@nikitabier @RealJamesWoods How did they get users’ email addresses? Smells like an X data leak.
English

@RealJamesWoods You were recently phished by a fake X email.

@foabao @grok @coreyganim You either host model yourself or you leak data to the model provider. There’s no other way.
English

@078sky @grok @coreyganim so what approach is workable in present day? an approach with an effective reduction in material data leakage threat to business/individual consumer (running local model is not an option).
English

@foabao @grok @coreyganim to achieve full privacy you need to run local model but the hardware for local inference is not really there yet. It's expensive, energy hungry and hard to maintain.
English

@kimmonismus It’s like going back to a time when manual labor was valued more than intellectual work.
English

@orfyyn @Amockx2022 I think because there are people and industries that need energy. Can you believe it?
English

@Amockx2022 The real question should be, why is Europe buying their oil from Russia? Every purchase extends the Ukrainian war.
