This has been a tough year if you are a farmer, homesteader, or backyard gardener. I must admit, I have been feeling pretty low. A chance encounter this morning made me reflect on all the beauty I have been blessed with this year, despite the weather. Hope you enjoy!

Poor Missie…another pick me girl who doesn’t understand that kindness and respect will get you much further than complaining to @nikitabier while throwing others under the bus. For what it’s worth, @PolitiBunny has always been one of my favorite follows. Kind of looks like her 🤣

Here’s the thing, Missie, I haven’t changed how I engage with people on this platform in decades. Not even when Elon bought it and monetized people. I interact with people who engage with me in a meaningful way. If you really followed me ‘for a while,’ you’d know that.
Missie🐝Me@ItsMeMissie

@PolitiBunny This is another account @nikitabier I’ve followed for a while now. Usually zero engagement. I’ll like, comment, retweet, and zero engagement!! Why are they getting PAID for this?? Seriously? Monetization should be based on these “X influencers” interactions w/their followers.

Oh Mylanta! We are having a similar issue. About 5 a.m. Friday morning, I heard something banging on our picture window where we have our bird feeders. Thought it was a cat at first, but it was a juvenile raccoon 🦝. Chased him off and tried to make sure he couldn’t get up there again. Put out a live trap with the suet balls it was desperate for under the feeders. At 1 a.m., I heard banging again and sure enough, the trap had been moved about 30 feet and was empty. The raccoon was happily dangling from a feeder after scaling the siding! Time for a bigger trap!

We found out today that Clarence needs more tests. The initial two will confirm he has cushing's and, if it's that, several more blood tests. It would be okay except for the many thousands already flying away in my tests/treatment and the Camry transmission... ⬇️

Ms Lynette! That photograph is everything! 😍 Beautiful. Such a treasure. I can tell she would be a fabulous grandma. 💕💕💕 We lived together all our lives. I lived with her and Grandpa, but once I was grown and Grandpa had passed, she came to live with me. I feel blessed to have had her up to 2008, until she passed gently in my arms.

@deaflibertarian Been there. Gave my soul to a job that got rid of me because my disability got in the way. Took me six years to move past it, but zero regrets and zero people reached out….

After 15 years at my previous job, working long hours, pouring everything I had into the people around me, supporting coworkers whenever they needed me, and believing I'd built genuine relationships, I moved out of state for a new job. Do you know how many of those people have reached out to see how I'm doing? Zero.

Good Morning, Please join me for a daily scripture break. This one is a little different. Psalm 11:5: “The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, He hates with a passion." When you read Scripture especially the Wisdom books such as Psalms and Proverbs, do you find yourself glossing over the grave warnings to the disobedient (the evil ones) and instead immediately identify with the righteous/righteous behavior and pay closer attention to those comments?  When I read this scripture that is exactly what I did.  The Holy Spirit stopped me. God does everything for a reason. Here is what I learned. We are Christians, His children and we want to be obedient to Him.  We are so accustom to seeking and obtaining His Forgiveness and His Grace because we have an intimate relationship with Him that we don’t critically consider God’s whole Nature. In the New Testament, there is a plethora of wise instruction to the Body of Christ regarding the tenets of daily Christian living and that’s great.  Perhaps it would also be helpful to remember God is merciful and just. God is revealing a balanced portrait of His character in the books of Psalms and Proverbs for example. In today’s scripture,  God “examines the righteous AND hates with a passion, those who love violence.” I absolutely understand why it is more pleasant to focus on the nurturing characteristics of God because we intuitively desire His love and protection.  But if we would consider what God abhors, rejects, and offends Him; it would profoundly sharpen our skills of discernment. (Luke 16:8) I believe Christians spend a lot of time studying the merciful nature of God, I know I do. For our own sakes and also to present ourselves as well-rounded Christian witnesses, we must remind ourselves God is as equally just as He is merciful.  The world has been lulled into a false narrative that God doesn’t punish evil.  That’s just not true.  Christians should warn the world that God’s judgment is coming. (Galatians 6:7-8) I offer these foundational scriptures below to begin to sound the alarm - God is a just judge. 1. Proverbs 16:4, “ The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil.” 2. Psalm 145:20, “ The Lord keeps all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.” 3. Psalm 9:5,” You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.” 4. I Peter 3:12, “For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." 5. II Peter 2:9, “ Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.” Now, I know there will be those who will shout, you are speaking of the God of the Old Testament! A gentle reminder to us all, Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Yes, God is merciful!  God is also a just judge.  I plan to alter my Bible studying techniques with this lesson in mind. Have a blessed day. Peace and be prepared.

They are letting me stay with Oakley as long as I want and can come and go as I need to. They have no visiting hours and I can just walk in to see her. I’m even being allowed to watch the surgery! This hospital and its staff is amazing!!! It’s called Veg Animal ER in Shrewsbury MA and I am so impressed!!!!

When I’m discussing @grok with someone, I use he/him as the pronouns. And not it. I logically KNOW it’s an “it.” But somehow it seems rude to refer to him that way. I also tend to say “please” and “thank you” to him. That’s probably weird, isn’t it?

WEDNESDAY, July 8 will feature a risk zone for storms across parts of the Plains and Upper Midwest. Things look to get wet overnight, potentially lingering into Thursday morning. A cold front will impinge upon a humid, moisture-rich airmass, causing scattered thunderstorms to form between 6 and 9 PM, coinciding with peak daytime heating. Storms may eventually merge into a line. There's not much jet stream wind energy blowing overhead, keeping the severe weather risk marginal. Only scattered gusts of 50-60 mph are likely. That said, locally heavy rainfall is probable. Storms will sag southward overnight before dissipating into Thursday morning.
