A spoiler-free review of Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams 🗡️ I think what surprised me most is how attached I became to Osten Ard. MST is slow, huge, occasionally frustrating, but also one of the most rewarding fantasy series I have read. 🧵

@minncoma I actually support you waiting a bit! I recommend maybe reading The Heart of what was Lost when you can, because it happens soon after the end of TGAT (and it's a bridge for the sequels, super important), but the Witchwood Crown happens decades later, so+

@minncoma Everything about his story still pains me :( despite their many faults, the sithi suffered an immense injustice, they're still victims even if not perfect people

@0Catapimbas Exactly! I also loved that these books never make it simple, understanding the injustice behind Ineluki’s grief does not excuse what he eventually becomes

@filmp1ece Yess, the new book is a spin off though, happens 300 years previously to the of trilogy The og trilogy Memory Sorrow and Thorn has 3 books: The Dragonbone Chair, The Stone of Farewell and To Green Angel Tower There's also a sequel tetralogy called The Last King of Osten Ard
