My issue with Neymar discourse is despite him being an all timer talent, he is never held to those standards. It's never his fault he didn't win the Ballon d'or, it's not his fault PSG couldn't win the UCL, it's not his fault Brazil couldn't win as well. No standards just vibes.

Ibr I don’t think it was hard to understand what I meant, I summarised it this way so that people don’t always need to read paragraphs either.
Yes Ligue 1 in his prime is a bit spooky but he always proved it in the CL during that period too so he compensated for it anyway + his time at Santos shouldn’t be slept on, esp for what he did in the Copa Libertadores. What he did for his age was far from normal, whether it was in Brazil or not. If he could handle the peak of 2010s LaLiga then he can handle any league anyway.

@0_MM70 @chelsmaru When I say “supreme talents” (emphasis on supreme, not just any talent), it’s about players who have absolutely translated it into performances. Neymar did and he did so for 10 years or so, there is absolutely no debate to be had about that.
