Unpopular opinion: P2P crypto trading is worse now than it was 3 years ago. Scam volume keeps climbing. Platforms don't care. You send money to some stranger, hope they release the crypto, and if they ghost you just open a dispute, upload screenshots, wait days, sometimes weeks, and your cash is just sitting in their account the whole time. Bank details already out there. Nothing you can do about it. CEXs aren't any better honestly. They freeze your account for "review" whenever they feel like it. No timeline, no explanation. Your money, their rules. Either way you're trusting someone who doesn't owe you anything. That's just how it is right now. Been wondering for a while if anyone's actually trying to fix this properly. Not another marketplace with a support ticket system but something that removes the trust problem entirely. Ended up finding @P2Pdotme through a Dune rabbit hole. It's a decentralized on/off-ramp. You trade USDC with local payment methods but there's no company sitting between you and the other person. No one holds your fiat. No one keeps your identity on file. Escrow runs on-chain through the protocol. Pulled their numbers on Dune and honestly didn't expect what I saw. 322K+ transactions already done. Fraud rate below 0.01%. Settlements closing in about 3 seconds. 23K+ people using it in 6 markets. Not a testnet. Not a "coming soon." Already live, already working. Ok so here's what really caught me off guard. P2P Protocol token sale is running right now on MetaDAO. FDV is $15.48M. Multicoin Capital paid the same price at seed. Coinbase Ventures paid more. So yeah retail is getting in at or below what the big funds got. The tokenomics are weirdly fair for a launch like this. Half the supply circulates on day one, no 5% float game. No insider tokens unlocking early. Raised funds go straight to a DAO treasury, team doesn't control it. If things go south holders can vote to pull funds back. Team is locked for 12 months then they only unlock based on hitting actual growth targets, 2x 4x all the way up to 32x. Basically the team gets paid nothing unless the thing actually works. You don't see that often. Anyway everything I mentioned you can verify yourself. Dune dashboard is public, on-chain data all of it. Polymarket has a bet running on the raise too with $600K+ in volume. 90% odds on hitting $4M committed, about 50/50 on whether it reaches $20M. Check the dashboard, look at the contracts, make up your own mind.

Betting system ensures participants have skin in the game and are properly prepared, making it fairer. Q2: There are rumors about rewards for maintaining the network. Can you confirm this? Will there be some kind of airdrop for prover owners? A2: Provers, verifiers and even stakers already receive rewards for their contributions. No additional airdrop for mainnet participants is planned. Rewards come from ongoing network activity, campaigns (e.g. St. Patrick’s) and staking boosts. Testnet airdrop was separate. Q3: When will Cohort Three start and new ambassadors (CyRunners) be selected? A3: New CyRunners will be selected in the near future.
