Henry Nowak’s life mattered. He lived a good life, an honest life, and he did nothing wrong. Instead he was robbed, stabbed, and handcuffed and left to choke to death by drowning in his own blood on the pavement, by police who arrested him after his assailant lied and accused him of being a racist. There will be no riots, not even a protest over the injustice of his murder because Britain does not care. It isn’t football after all.

Journalism is sometimes confrontational. We seek answers. If any interview subject, especially with power, do not answer what I asked, I will try to interrupt and get a more focused response. That is my job & duty. I want answers and not just talking points.
