I shipped @PSAcard a clean card and they wrecked it. Fresh whitening on the back, spotting all over, top-right corner straight up dinged. Their OWN pre and post grading scans prove YOU did this. I paid you to protect it, not destroy it. Absolutely unacceptable. Fix this.

@0x3m3 @PSAcard Psa usually puts the card in a sleeve or it’s a plastic cover and takes a picture. The sleeve is usually scratched up and looks similar to what you’d see in your photos. I wouldn’t worry too much, I’ve had scans like this one and came back perfect. I’m not seeing the ding tho.

His thought process is very similar to my own. I did my own independent research on signatures prior to seeing this video, but it’s cool to see that there are other people thinking the same thing and executing on it. My only gripe is that we have zero access to confirmed total cases/signatures of a set,we’re just ballparking it, but it is what it is. 🫠

Alright, exciting news (not really). Took my first foray into buying on TCG player and I bought what I felt was a really undervalued Near Mint Riftbound Signature at $240. I am just getting my feet wet before any real degeneracy begins. The best part is that I am buying from a completely new seller that has 0 feedback. How bad can it get? 😂 Anyway, my reasoning is this basically: There are probably, on average, 200,000 - 300,000 cases per set. Let’s just say 200,000 for now. Which would mean 1,200,000 boxes total per set. Assuming everything is evenly distributed or close to it, and assuming it takes on average 30 boxes to hit a signature card, that means the population of each signature in a set is 1,200,000 divided by 30 = 40,000 total signatures, divided by 12 = 3333 supply per signature in the set. Assuming the odds of hitting a signature is 1 out of 30 boxes, that means that, on average, roughly $3600 of MSRP value in sealed product was taken off the market forever in order to produce this signature. While this legend is not as coveted as the other League of Legends characters, I think the downside risk is super small relative to the potential upside when this card is finally out of print. I am praying that this card is in excellent condition by the time I decide to try and ship it to PSA. I think the League of Legends IP is here to stay and Riot Games is just way too good at making games, so I am feeling great about this purchase. So far in my collection: Few sealed boxes of every set, 48 Nexus Night Origins packs (broken seal but has all original packs), and now an Ivern signature whenever it finally arrives 😂.

Tempting to just dump everything and go all in on TCGs. The liquidity is insane. I bought this box of 48 packs for $600 and it is now worth over $2000, in fact it is so desirable that there aren’t even any listing on ebay anymore. It could and likely will go beyond $10,000. Wtf
