Switched claude code to codex for one of my projects. First impressions: -Codex is way more diligent about best practices surrounding devops tasks -Codex does a way better job at keeping track of files / versioning / git etc. -Codex is way better at security (noticed several minor things claude(!) put at risk kinda) -I like the auto compaction better but not sure -It's slightly less creative than claude but way more accurate once you give it reasonable instructions

Polymarket upgraded their matching engine yesterday. One idea was to limit failed fills because people on either side can fuck with the polygon block to invalidate their trades once the relayer settles on chain. This is just happened to me, guess how many of these trades went through.

Fun story: there was a day due to polymarket’s buggy order matching I had a Knight Capital moment and got filled on 50k shares of BTC up-down. I happened to be sat at the terminal, and I watched in horror. I couldn’t dump the shares without making a mess, and it was much better to let the hedging algorithm work through it gracefully (as best it could). Gripping 15minutes later, the market resolved in my favour and I was up a good twenty thousand. Next day, there were tweets about how “this bot went bankrupt”, and I am guessing that’s my counterparty. Oops.

Apparently I just got hit by the Polymarket orderbook wipe attack. I was mming on BTC events, and kept monitoring my UI. Both legs showing hedged out equally. But at settlement one leg had less shares than intended. From what i saw there's an address draining USDC right before on-chain settlement, causing batch reverts and wiping maker orders off the book.
