One of the biggest question marks around $DREGG has always been its tokenomics.
After reading the new TOKENOMICS.md, I think that criticism is becoming much weaker.
What I like is that it doesn’t read like a marketing document.
It reads like an engineer explaining exactly how the economy is supposed to work.
A few things stood out:
• Fixed supply (~1B SPL token). No protocol inflation.
• Pay for services with either USDC or $DREGG.
• Paying with $DREGG gives a ~20% discount.
• No staking.
• No fake APY.
• No “buy this token to become stronger.”
• Governance is based on proof-of-holdings instead of locking tokens.
• Security comes from bonds and slashing, not endless emissions.
• Treasury is designed to recycle value instead of constantly selling tokens on the market.
Perhaps the most important part is that the token finally has a clear role.
USDC pays for the infrastructure.
$DREGG captures participation in the ecosystem.
Execution.
Hosting.
AI agents.
Compute.
Governance.
All connected to the same runtime.
Even better, the document clearly separates what’s LIVE, BUILT, RUNS, POLICY, and DESIGN instead of pretending everything already exists.
That’s refreshing.
The biggest question for me is no longer:
“Why does this token exist?”
Now it’s:
“Can they build enough adoption for people to actually use these services?”
That’s a much better problem to have.

This is deep technical infrastructure.
Why I'm interested:
▪️ Built by a developer with 10+ years of verifiable open-source experience and an early Rust pioneer, with widely used public crates.
▪️ Combines expertise in Rust, Lean, OCaml, distributed systems, cryptography and formal methods.
▪️ Building shared infrastructure for AI agents, exchanges, DAOs and games—not just another AI narrative token.
▪️ Open-source, auditable codebase with ongoing development.
▪️ Strong technical moat that very few projects at this valuation can match.
The biggest caveat? The token currently has very little direct value capture. Even the developer has been transparent about that. That's a real risk, and one that will need to be addressed over time.
For me, the quality of the engineering makes it worth a small, long-term position. If they can eventually align the token with the protocol's value, the upside could be significant.
Started accumulating. Let's see where it goes.
