if a user is in a list things they RT always show up in that list even if you turn off retweets from that user this makes the official client almost completely unusable

and i will likely rarely have the energy to open the official client particularly often

to make the official client usable i am going to need to greatly reduce volume of posts i follow, esp of accounts that add more than like 2 posts/day etc and there will be lots of disabling retweets lists only get me so far when i can not do group intersections between them 😿

it took way longer than expected, but looks like my twitter API access has finally been revoked since 2016 my custom client has let me easily scroll 1000s posts a day i can not do that in the official client tldr: please use mastodon if you can

On today's episode of "We Fucking Told You", both Florida and Texas are attempting to criminalize gender affirming healthcare for adults. In case you have a really hard time seeing the outcome of this, this is a ban on trans people. It's the criminalization of our lives.

when twitter api dies in like 2 days i am going to lose ~300 people i am currently following who are not also on mastodon as rough guess it's mostly non tech people i am not mentally prepared for how much this is going to suck

@Psyfira it goes something like: - pick an instance, make an account (if needed moving to another instance later is easy, a built in feature) - use fedifinder.glitch.me to make a CSV - import CSV into mastodon

@DJShenny AMVs were/are amazing. It's a shame music licensing made them that much more difficult to produce or enjoy. Now I get peeps need to get paid but still was an awesome part of my early fandom too!

AMVs meant a ton to me in the early days of my anime fandom. So I started keeping the ones I really enjoyed or just was heavily into fandom wise at the time.
