I'm a 17-year overnight success... It was back in April 2007 that I joined then-Twitter. I've posted more or less consistently for all that time. 43,100 posts to be exact. But it's in the last 2.5 years that things really started to click. Literally. 1.5 billion impressions, thousands of DMs, and new friends for life. I owe a lot to this platform, I owe a lot to you. Thank you for consistently tuning in, giving me tough feedback, praise, and everything in between. Behind every post there is a person, me, with doubts, imposter syndrome, worries, and excitement. My love for technology transcends all that, and I've been trying to stay consistent, posting the things I like for others to know about, trying to unite instead of divide. I've been so amazed by how this community has come together time and time again, to cheer each other on, help each other out, and grow together. Yes, the internet can be a horrible place, but in my opinion, it's also one of our greatest achievements. In a world of algorithms and AI, I've come to the conclusion that it's the human connections that truly matter, now more than ever. AI is indeed our next grand achievement, our magnum opus. It will push humanity towards a world of potential abundance for all, with advancements in every field currently known to man and beyond. It will be a shaky ride. Like with many other things we've created, it will also be a double-edged sword. I think it's our job as humans to unite and help guide/steer current and future AI systems to work in the best interest of humanity. We have a long way to go. Thank you for being here. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for participating. This would be eerily silent without you. (But don't fret, I have 14 years of silence in my bag).
