ok, let me make everything clear. it got people kind of confused but now I understand more what happened, this is the full story (may some stuff here wont be relevant but im just sharing): Downloaded yesterday steam (on my macbook), bought a game called "balatro" using eneba (paid with crypto) but I didnt connect any wallet, I just send money to the provided address. I sent that through my hot wallet (CgJQgJBNYf2DDiHoqxDsRFaTEvHNTAboybetKr7xmGuk) then later that day I opened my ledger app on my pc, wanted to check if a client sent me money and for some reason the ledger app didnt load, just saw the ledger logo, tried to opened it mul times/restart the pc etc. So I decided to delete and download it again. downloaded from the official site (added a screenshot because I don't want people to click on it) I got asked to put the seed phrase, I didn't think much so because I downloaded it from the original ledger site and I'm 100% sure of it. brought my paper and wrote it down. Then today I got drained for everything I had, literally now I have 0 to my name. now the question is how it was possible if I downloaded the right ledger app? maybe a virus made fake popup/RAT...idk really currently i dont know what to do, In a serious emotional turmoil, and I feel like I can't make it back.

i think he had the virus before the balatro download, the ledger website for me has google ads too, but its the exact same link as the real website, the malware was prob blocking the real app thats why he couldnt open the ledger app, and had to reinstall, but this information about 1:1 characters is great, thanks!

@0xMoco @f9nkz so it could be anything but you can spoof domains with characters that are almost 1:1 with the real character, in this case the url has the tag that shows its from a google search so its most likely this example:

@f9nkz sorry to hear these were the links i got when i went through the ledger website link you hit has srsltid which means it came from google ads, which would have been the top thing that came up when you googled download ledger live (spoofed web) You'll run it back godspeed

acho que me expressei meio mal, quis dizer que futuros mexe muito com seu psicológico em momentos ruins, meme é menos isso pq oq vc arrisca pro quanto vc tem geralmente é bem pouco, a questão de tomada de decisão nessas moedas baixas realmente é bem mais crucial doq em futuros pq é tudo muito rápido

@0xMoco Engraçado q eu penso justamente o contrário… Sempre fui dos futuros, então sempre utilizei stop e acho legal ter um “limitador” das perdas, dai quando mexi brevemente com meme, achei muito estranho e agoniante não ter stop e se movimentar tão rápido kkkk

Não acho futuros um lugar ruim pra fazer dinheiro, já testei algumas vezes, e cheguei a fazer uns 4x doq coloquei pra testar ao longo de 2 ou 3 semanas, o problema é q as coisas dão muito errado muito rápido se vc não manter a calma, eu não tenho mental nenhum pra isso pq eu odiava botar stop, eu ficava só adicionando margem e enquanto tava dando certo era uma beleza, o problema é quando dava errado, no fim se a pessoa tem cabeça e calma dá certo mesmo
