Figma – and more generally product design – is the one workflow that didn’t change at all for me since AI. Figma is as much a powerful tool for design as it is a tool for thought. I frankly I don’t know how anyone gets work done without x and y axis freedom of movement.

wow. just talked to a guy who had his first $80,000 month with his iOS app launched ~12 months ago he took a VERY popular app idea here in the US and localized to a country with only 10M population then, he brought on a very popular influencer/celeb in that country. they promoted his app and allowed him to run ads much cheaper than the competition but it wasn't a typical influencer deal. it was an equity/rev share deal! genius. i think this will become a huge trend (partnering with influencers/celebs on rev share)

I'm with @bchesky on this one. I think the future is not about apps, but about agents. But the shift to agents doesn't necessarily mean text-forward, chat-based UIs. That makes sense for some use cases -- but not all. The future is about agents that work on your behalf, often in the background, and let you interact in ways that make sense. Sometimes, that means typing text, but others it might be a personalized UI element. UI affordances are underrated. Sometimes humans need some guidance and nudges instead of an empty prompt box. I think hybrid agentic interfaces will be the future. And it's not just about B2C. Turns out, B2B users are people too. :)

"I do not think a chatbot is the right interface for travel or e-commerce." - @bchesky "I think the future is not apps. The future is agents, but I don't think they're going to be text-forward. I think they're going to be really rich user interfaces." "Imagine using iMessage to do everything, when in fact every other app has a unique interface." "With e-commerce, you want a very rich user interface. It would be agentic. You can have a conversation with it, but the point is that it has to be more visual."

just ~six months ago so many ppl thought everything was bubble… e.g. too much compute, too much capex, & demand that couldn’t possibly absorb the buildout. but it turns out the ceiling on demand for intelligence is literally nowhere in sight. i mean who could’ve ever seen that a smart entity available on tap is actually insanely useful for ~every facet of human life & even for things we haven’t even thought of that are possible now???

I've been testing a new image model dropping soon 👀 It's a breath of fresh air - the visuals are insane, and it makes image generation feel like art again. I have a couple invites, comment or DM if you want to try it!

If you are building in Bangkok, this event is for you 🫵 Following our success with "Thailand in the AI Race," we are taking the next step: Physical Infrastructure. We are proposing that Tobacco Factory 5 (โรงงานยาสูบ 5) - the historic space right behind QSNCC and next to Benjakitti Park be transformed into the city's first AI Builder Hub. By utilizing vacant BMA assets, we create a high-density zone where policy meets product. The "trust-layer" of AI including capital, talent, and infrastructure, which needs a center of gravity. This is it. Join us at the site on May 12 for our AI DEMO DAY 📍 Location: Tobacco Factory 5, Benjakitti Park The Agenda: 14:30 | Doors Open: Check-in via AI Passport 15:10 | Forum 1: Built in Bangkok -Why Builders Choose This City 16:00 | BKK Showcase: part 1 16:40 | Forum 2: Scaling the Engine - Capital, Infra & BKK’s AI Future 17:20 | The Hero Workshop: Live Build 18:20 | BKK Showcase: part 2 Bangkok is not staying on the sideline, Bangkok is the platform. I wonder if we’ll see small, 1-3 person “teams” of co-builders instead of cofounders soon for saas/apps. Everyone owns 100% of their own co but there’s a handshake deal that they build same products but try different angles/distro methods and share all findings, creators, tricks etc. Once someone finds something that works/makes money, everyone copies and repeats the process on their version of the same product. If everyone starts at a similar level and there’s a system to sharing, there’s very little downside if the market is big and the “team” is prob ~4 For competent product/software engs, ai has made building easy. Yet knowing what to build and how to distribute it has become much harder and a setup like this could solve that

Many times a day now, people much smarter than me tell me they are Codex-pilled and that GPT-5.5 was a watershed moment for them. Engineers keep telling me the Codex App is the first interface that got them to leave the terminal agents behind. The Codex App is a fundamental shift in the way I work. I can't even imagine what I was doing before using the Codex App, but it definitely wasn't pretty. Check it out and let us know how to make it even better :)

The image gen is so useful inside of codex I’m not sure I’d go back to Claude code until they have one It’s fascinating to watch codex take in an image as reference, generate the assets that make up that image, place them together, animate them and add sound effects, in one shot..
