Due to ongoing IP enforcement and legal actions, Etherscan has removed the “ASTEROID” and “ASTEROID SHIBA” ticker labels from the unauthorized token. It is now displayed simply as “TOKEN.” People underestimate how important this is. Etherscan is one of the core identity layers of crypto infrastructure. Exchanges, wallets, trading tools, analytics platforms, and aggregators rely on its data to identify and classify assets. When a token gets stripped of its identity at the infrastructure level, it’s basically a death sentence - CEX'es, platforms start removing it, aggregators stop recognizing it, and new exchanges won’t touch it.
