I believe the TCG Bull Run case starts with the weakness in the NASDAQ. Consecutive monthly downtrends will lead to more and more money finding alternative investments I see weakness until Q4 2026 in the NASDAQ and then strength led by Metals

The Pokemon card market is a clear cut example of why free market capitalism wins against socialist price controls. MSRP is an artificial price control measure designed to signify what a product is worth. But the free market completely ignores "MSRP" because buyers and sellers decided that significantly higher prices are more appropriate. We're watching this play out every day in front of our eyes and it's wonderful to watch. PRICE CONTROLS DO NOT WORK!

@0x_why @KabutoKing_ 500k from walmart alone. All to botters. People hit thousands. Tcgplayer and eBay has like 50 sold a day. Then after shipping and fees, takehome is about 80% which is ablut $140/etb. If they sell at $165 they’re making near 99% market and able to liquidate their stock easily.

Why not just sit on this for 5 years? What is the rush to sell?

went to another pokemon show yesterday a lot of really nice people! but all the dope vendors i spoke with, the market is just getting too saturated, everyone feels the “top” my conclusion now is to just buy exact exact grails you want, probably vintage/low pop exclusives, not bricks, modern is tricky i sold a lot of my modern psa 10s personally more vendors than there were customers and a lot of them said the weekend was “slower,” it seemed hard to move pieces, especially expensive ones (besides the 1 chinese chase) the only people buying bigger things seemed like the rich of the rich of la, or people looking to flip right away, so do with that info how you want

@EmporosResearch @rootslashbin I would be cautious with anything modern if that’s what most of your collection is. If you’re looking to buy cheaper in the future maybe sell modern grails and just buy back after the hype

How do you scale into Pokemon cards? Have experimented growing my collection a lot of different ways like: - in person restocks - online drops - marketplace buying It’s been fine but scaling is so difficult… Is the only answer to start botting?

People are all hype about the Pokemon market, but no one is talking about how most of the buyers are in the high end. Low to mid-end is now considerably harder to move compared to 2024/2025. Normal buyer pool is getting smaller and smaller. Economy is squeezing. Top is in.

@MINHxDYNASTY @chai_lens Pokemon market is at ATH but low to mid-end is extremely slow this time around compared to grails. Market price of the middle is like 20% below what it shows because it’s hard to move and seems like it’s only getting slower.

@chai_lens for the known top cards sure, makes a lot of sense but the things in the middle don’t for me

this might be a noob question, but how are there so many pokemon cards priced so high? it seems like there is ever a steal listed, it’s snatched up immediately, no matter what it is where is all this liquidity coming from?
