@9gagceo @keung Historically auctions have been recieved well so long as they were the only method of primary asset distribution. It's only when assets were sold both via auction as well as whitelist based private sales have they underperformed.

1/ Kubz by @keung was using auction to set the price—its final price is 0.469Ξ and the current FP is ~0.8Ξ. Auction may not be the most loved pricing mechanism but it is 💩 to say auction will hurt the community. I don’t/can’t predict how Kubz (or any collections) will perform.

Many of us have formed an emotional bond/connection with our NFTs whether we like to admit it or not. That's why we see so many statements like: 1. "It's my identity now." 2. "But I want a nicer looking one..." 3. "It has to have a certain trait..."

@MoonOverlord The most understated part has got to be the fun factor. The amount of technical analysis required for shitcoins vis a vis illquid JPEGs cannot be compared.

The amount of 50x 100x trades I have on NFTs is so fuckingdumb lol I could never (ever) in a quadrillion years do this with coins There’s a lot of factors for this but - no VCs waiting to dump on you - NFTs are low cap to start - you can SEE the good NFTs, coins not so much

@zjbrenner Yep, would have to confirm with the chain, but anecdotally would agree that the increase in transactions is attributable to the $BLUR drop. Haha, don't think we'd see a lot of new speculators anytime soon, but innovation fuelled mass adoption? 👀🤫

@0xbrownissance Makes sense! I could see a few catalysts over the next few weeks that help increase volume (most notably the Blur airdrop), and people trying to front-run that. I don't see market participants increasingly substantially until the macro environment stabilizes some

@punk9059 Imo, its dependent on whether or not there's been a fundamental shift on the long term success metric of the project (ex: Pudgy Penguins' revenue diversification). Short term pumps are historically absent of any such change.

The big question when something is pumping: Is this a paradigm shift for the pricing environment for the project? Or is this a FOMO pump that will soon be faded? When you're seeing something rally, how do you decide which one it is?
