I've realized a lot of people see "Project X just raised funding" and immediately send a DM.
The problem is...many people don't fully understand the different fundraising stages and why they matter.
Understanding fundraising stages matters, it can completely change when you should pitch a project for a job, partnership, grant, or collaboration.
Below is an easy way to understand it:
- Pre-seed: The company is validating the idea. This is where engineers, product builders, and early technical hires are often in highest demand.
- Seed: The product has started finding users. Growth becomes a priority, making it one of the best stages for community managers, moderators, ambassadors, marketers, and BD contributors to start reaching out.
- Strategic rounds: This isn't a fundraising stage. It tells you who is investing. Strategic investors don't just provide capital, they often bring partnerships, distribution, integrations, and credibility.
- Series A: The company has proven demand and is now focused on scaling. Hiring becomes more structured as teams expand.
- Series B and beyond: The focus shifts from building to optimizing, expanding, and strengthening market position.
Another thing I've learnt about evaluating projects is asking these questions:
> Does the team make sense?
> Is the community organic?
> Do the socials match the traction?
> Are the investors credible?
> Is this actually the right time to reach out?
@CryptoRank_io is a very good aggregator for this purpose. And a great place to start your research.
Always remember timing matters.
The right pitch to the wrong-stage project is still the wrong pitch.

@mannie_o1 @blknoiz06 Liquidity is a Nomad to be real
And the trenches care less about the Tek, they are after their bags bro

PvP markets can be really crazy.
The same CT that couldn't stop talking about $ANSEM and Solana less than two weeks ago is now chasing $CASHCAT and other Robinhood memes.
At first I thought Robinhood was simply riding the wave @blknoiz06 created, tho' to be fair, RH has its own catalysts too.
But then I remembered...
Liquidity is a Nomad.
And in a PvP market, attention follows liquidity while momentum follows attention.
And then people simply follow wherever both decide to go.
Ngl...
People usually follow wherever they believe their bags will grow the fastest.

World got the world talking since yesterday...
They really endlessly comparing ecosystems, and almost writing a full breakdown...only to find out it was a prank. 😭😂
What really got me wasn't even the migration.
It was the claim that the decision was made after just 24 hours of consideration.
I kept thinking...
How do you spend months building on one ecosystem, then decide to migrate your entire infrastructure in just one day?
To be fair, Robinhood isn't a bad choice.
It has one huge advantage which is distribution. Robinhood already has a massive mainstream retail audience, and with its chain just launching, there's naturally a lot of attention and momentum around the ecosystem.
From a growth perspective, I can understand why any team would at least consider that opportunity.
But if the goal is building a real-time prediction market, Solana is still like the stronger home today.
The liquidity is already there.
The users are already there.
The infrastructure has already been battle-tested through multiple market cycles.
For a product that depends on speed, execution, and deep on-chain activity, those advantages are hard to overlook tbh.
Anyway...
Glad I didn't rush to post my analysis. 😂
Well played, @world_xyz
