20 years of overpaying your mortgage (at 4.5%) rather than investing into a Stocks & Shares ISA (at 8%) will leave you £100k poorer. Is paying off your mortgage the one exception where it doesn’t need to make financial sense…or should you always follow the numbers?

@GMFinX I did really well with some short leverage ETFs a few months ago. Really well until decay (and the market) happened

Been following Leverage shares for a while now and after Sandisk being down 13% on the day (39% with the leverage) I thought I would give one a try. Who knows how this will play out

@baileyinvests lol. That’s crazy I’d treat that £30 as an additional contribution to my S&S ISA at least

My sister has £11k sitting in a current account💰 Her boyfriend works in finance. He moved it OUT of a 3% savings account because ‘£30 a month isn’t worth it.’ £30 a month is £360 a year. In a Stocks ISA averaging 10% that £11,000 becomes £28,000 in 10 years. In a current account it stays £11,000. The person who works in finance thinks £30 a month isn’t worth it🤯 He works hard to make his company money but won’t help himself… Money mindset is everything📈

I know next to nothing about individual stocks, all my investments are ETFs. But... I want to learn. So I yesterday I stuck these 5 into a pie and chucked £10 in. I will learn more about these by having a financial stake in them (however small!). I am thinking of doing another £10 spilt between 5 more, but 5 I am u lucky to know about. Fire me some suggestions if you have a minute to spare 😉

100 followers 🙌 Honestly didn't expect to hit this in a week. Started at 3. To everyone who followed, replied, or just liked something — thank you. It means more than the number. I'm building in public as a full-time software engineer. Nights and weekends. Real numbers, no hype. If you're building something reply below. I read every one. Let's connect and build alongside each other. @X

Quick question for long term investors: Do you usually buy stocks/ETFs before the US market opens, at the open, or later in the day? I’ve heard arguments for all three. Curious what your strategy is and why? When it’s 🔴 like today - I always wonder when is best to buy.

The objective of this pot isn’t diversification It’s concentrated exposure to one belief: This is the future.

The satellite positions are small allocations to businesses exposed within the broad infrastructure of • Compute • Data centres • Energy • High-performance computing • Emerging quantum leaders They’re punts, nothing more. Hence small allocations

My second pot constitutes 20% of my portfolio It’s a ‘high growth’ pot, focussed on high growth sector ETFs and some selected satellite positions The goal is to maintain roughly the following spread • 52% Semiconductor ETF • 42% Quantum ETF • 6% satellite positions
0xempic@0xempic

I have four pots on Trading212, each with a different purpose The first one is my ballast. Its 50% of my portfolio at present and is unlikely to see frequent large changes, it’s more set and forget The allocation: • 50% $WINC • 40% $VWRP • 10% $JEQP This is the logic
